I really couldn't find any conversations that we shared recently. Not sure how I managed to irk him; though I do see one of my friends on his foes list with me. Yet I also see a couple of my friends on his friends list. Go figure.

    • One of those anonymous coward trolls, or one of those sock puppet trolls that never does anything else, or one of those trolls with balls that posts under a handle that they use for real things? Could you attach some urls?

      Just wondering. damn_registrars, jimmy_slimmy, and others around here are quite experienced with trolls. Though we have different styles of dealing with them.

      One common piece of advice, is

      Don't feed the trolls.

      pudge (cgn) takes that advice very well. Others like red4man can not resist

        • That really is despicable. If I were you, I would try to bring this to the attention of slashdot. Although "censorship" has a bad name, I imagine they have dealt with this kind of thing before, and there is likely data available to discourage such.

          There is a line that should not be crossed, and slashdot should show which side of the line they are on.

          Have you checked any FAQ, or is there a "terms of service"?

        • I suspect there are some people who are trying to associate slashdot with racial/cultural/sexual hatred/insensitivity. For some time just about every front page article had early posts that were involved with the use of the N word. Prior to that it was the same application of various ways to say homosexual. And at some other time there was of course endless commenting on the "GNAA". At yet a different time there was the story of eating defecation for sexual pleasure, repeated ad nauseum.

  • I only have seventeen freaks, and I figured they were probably trolls and such, until I started looking at their "achievements" pages; the ones I looked at looked like they probably had good or excellent karma -- not trolls at all.

    I'm sure more than a few of them either hate my comments, politics, or journals. Or all three.
