It seems I have been targeted by a partisan hack, in a journal no less:

I have for some time stated that it makes no sense to allow moderation of journal entry comments. The only purpose it seems to serve is to attack people's Karma.

Being as it was a political journal entry, and my comments were political in nature, the republicans category seems appropriate in this case.

Just do what I did: Bitch about being upmodded, then get upmodded for life as part of some great cosmic joke. Seriously, I haven't heard about anybody else getting "stalked" with positive moderation, so it's obviously a new and fertile market.

Hmmm, maybe I can get some venture capital out of this.
  • I've noticed that the quality of moderations has dropped quite a bit since they broke metamoderation.

I don't see any reason to moderate journal entries either. Only occasionally does a journal have a lot of comments.

    • Metamoderation is an interesting topic on its own. As you've noticed it is broken and meaningless; of course we recall a time when it (at least seemed to have) represented something.

I particularly find it craptastic when I go to metamoderate and I am presented with a list of 10 posts of which exactly zero where actually moderated to begin with. Combine that with the common case of getting your own posts in metamoderation and the situation gets even less meaningful.

It does seem like moderation itself h
  • He's good about fixing this and torching the offender.

    • I guess my general impression of Malda lately has been that he is going for a hands-off approach to problems like this. I had asked him about moderation difficulties before and his response was essentially "it will be fixed with the new moderation system"; which I suspect will come at about the same time as Duke Nukem Forever.
