Sorry, this availability zone is down due to: Lions
But they sent a video of someone in a mask drilling out a hard drive!
Pop quiz, hotshot... oh shit, Canvas leaked all the quiz answers. Nevermind.
If they weren't ripping people of with every purchase there would no need for a "discount". I was the "guy" who was forced to replace our really nice Commodore Pet computers with that crApple BS in HS. Apple never did anything for the schools that they didn't get paid for. Their software SUCKS, their networking SUCKS. In an effort to be "cool" and trendy apple has made supporting their stuff annoying time consuming.
GM's future is so dull that they sold their shades. A company that has no future needs very few employees. If the US allowed Chinese imports the US companies would be gone already.
I wouldn't want to listen to anything that a "Vice President of Strategic Alliances" had to say either.
They're creating security flaws just like the Starship Enterprise goes around creating new worlds... which I guess could be accurate if they have a Genesis Device.
It's possible that sentience being exist with a temporal perception so slow that we appear as flitting blurs. It's creepy to watch a hyperlapse of any plant; they move around all the time but it's usually just too slow for us apes to notice. We must be a sudden and terrible plague to all vegetable kind, with the majority of their kin hewn and burned with useful species forced into slavery.
You're right, their hardware is terrible now. My last 3 Fitbits have failed or are unreliable for basic functionality. The last one was only 1-1/2 years old and therefore out of warranty when it wouldn't hold a charge. I've since switched to a Casio. It doesn't track steps or report my health back to Google, but at least it can tell the f@&#ing time.
217 meters is approximately 43 rods, if that helps
A third is bigger than a half though, right?
What, does it just save a text file somewhere?
It only has to last for 4 years before the next model comes out
I always thought AI chatbots would be a great replacement for pre-generated NPC interactions. I remember Starship Titanic has a very ambitious text-based chat interface for all its characters, but you could only ask about anything you wanted but only you could really only ask about specific objects and keywords. It was way ahead of its time. An AI chatbot could be amazing in this role, provided it could stay in character. But every chat costs money, and having millions of players chatting with NPCs won't be cheap. It could make for a very immersive role-playing experience, but also a very lonely one as your chats would be one-time hallucinations unless they somehow affect the larger game.
The rule on staying alive as a program manager is to give 'em a number or give 'em a date, but never give 'em both at once.
