Journal SiliconJesus's Journal: Whatcha doin? 14

Now that we've all fallen prey to the damned meme that wasn't. Whatcha doin?

No - not like "Being a really productive member of the company where I spend all of my most grateful working hours..." bullshit - I mean really.

I'm sitting here wasting time while waiting for some damned files to transfer.

I'm thinking I can come up with a better meme than the freaking high school one goin around now.

I'm wondering when Josh is gonna have unread done.

I'm regretting being in such a rush this morning - the cat peed on my jacket and I didn't even notice until I got to work (and its freaking cold outside).

I'm wishing I had Halo2.

I'm also wishing I was home playing World of Warcraft.

So - what you got?

I played halo2 first thing when I woke up this morning, i love that game. I seem to suck at it, but it's fun :)

Also... trying to perfect my resume. I suck at these things. I don't have much of an ego in real life (suprised?), so it's hard to sell myself.

  • and wading through all the damn memes :-) This kinda weirds me out, because I was thinking of posting a survey on the web for everyone (or at least everyone who reads me journal) to fill out, just for the hell of it. Now I feel like I would look like a copycat sheesh (though I was planning on making mine a little more of a serious kinda thang). Oh and the survey thing reminded me to go check the messed up DNS servers for my website, which alas are still messed up.
  • Adn printing out the map to where I'm meeting blinder, and generally screwing off because the office is DEAD today, and I put "Screwing Off" on my monthly task plan to my boss this month. He changed it to "Year End Tasks" so it sounded better, but it's still on the list damnit! :-)
  • Friday is usually relaxing, but...

One of our other programmers is out all week, our QA person is out til next Friday, and I'm going on a trip Monday and will be gone all week.

So, I have a huge list of things to do today and then more got dumped on the plate this morning, so it's a little insane.

  • we had a great meeting about how we need to stop being a bunch of fucking territorial babys in the lab and share the fucking development machines.

AS one can guess, it degenerated into a bunch of yelling, the one guy who says he has all the non-broken versions of the tools OUTRIGHT REFUSING to CM them because its "too much hassle, which is why the previous versions of the tools where abandon", and everyone basically being a dick.

Is it wrong that I actually enjoyed the futility of the meeting, and ate cook

  • Currently at home, and it's the weekend - hurrah!
