My first parachute jump, you're supposed to do a PLF (Parachute Landing Fall), I did a PFL (Pretty Fucked-up Landing). The Sgt Airborne came running over, shouting "What do you call that soldier?!?" --My last jump.

I want you soldiers to know I'm really disappointed in you. I went out to use the porta-potty just before the show. Bad grammar, run on sentences, and just for the record "faggot" has two "G"s.

My four years in the army taught me three things: 1. Never volunteer. 2. I can sleep anywhere. 3. Never volunteer.

Anyway, it was a fun show, I'm still alive, and (so far) nothing has gone boom today.

First, this wasn't a political JE. Not by a long shot. You are free to spew your bile. Please do it elsewhere, where it might be appropriate.

Second, I don't "blame" anybody but me for being where I am. I volunteered. I would do it again in a New York minute, thankyouverymuch.

Ah, this reminds me why I friended you in the first place.

I was thinking of writing a quick warning before you had a chance to
read the post above to the author, but figured he wouldn't have a chance
to remove it anyways. Some people are just so filled with hate that
they cannot even ignore the slightest, or even lack of, oppertunity to
attack Bush. I agree with you, I feel sorry for them.

I suspect that's simply due to lack of exposure. He's gone from Clinton-like levels of popularity to being despised by the UK populace at almost unprecedented levels -- perhaps even more so than Thatcher in her later years in government. Interestingly, this dislike seems to come from both sides of the politcal spectrum.

The fact that the British are trying to play both sides leading up to the US election is very unsurprising.

Nah. It's due to the fact that, as I recently heard applied to someone else, he's the same guy Saturday night as he is Sunday morning. I don't have to sit and wonder if he still holds the positions that he did last week. Like I said, much of his actual positions, I disagree with. But I like being able to know what they are.

Being liked by the Brits (or not) has nothing to do with being respected by me. I like Thatcher (and agree with most of her politics).

Oh, I missed one, you had so much wrongness packed into so few words.

1. I don't care about Kerry claiming that a 1970-something photo showed a wrong ribbon. Sounds like desperation to me. AND 2. I would not describe what I am in as a "mess". I'm no fan of nation-building, but the Democrats seem just as fond of it as the Republicans.
