You can easily have memory leaks in a memory safe language. Just "forget" to release a list of pointers and you can have GBytes of leaks.

Memory Safety is about the protection of variables from accidental corruption, NOT about leak issues.

The antithesis to the World Wide Web, a large web of servers under highly decentralized control. A few rich and powerful people can nuke thousands of valuable(if only historically valuable) discussion boards out of their private little malice or power lust. Or they can fire their employees for actual original thought.

Time to REMEMBER how the WWW started. Time to remember the PRE-MAINFRAME times. Time to re-start the large collection of little servers. Each citizen should be running one, to store his own files and to publish his own thoughts. Uncensored by the financiers who build the MAINFRAME.
