To drum up support for the Iraq War and scare the be-jezuz out of conservative, flag-waving, gun-totting Americans, President Bush has commisioned Actress and activist Jane Fonda to tour the country - calling for an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.

Ok, seriously... what the hell is she thinking? I personally know of at least a dozen hardcore biker 'Nam Vets that want her head on their handlebars... and she's going to be out on the open highway?

Yeah, that's intelligent.

  • They will be touring in a bus that runs on vegatable oil. I don't know of any refueling stations that carry that. It's curious though. I wonder what they will do when the "gas" gauge starts reading low. Stop at the Safeway and pickup a few hundreds bottles of Wesson?

      Wouldn't that be in violation of some law? Isn't road maintenance factored into the cost of both diesel and gasoline?

      Can't truckers can be fined for running fuel that's cheaper than market price, yet works perfectly well in their engines?
    • You can actually pick up and filter all of the vegetable oil you need from restaurants. Your vehicle usually ends up smelling like French fries.
  • Doing the right thing shouldn't be influenced by whether some shell-shocked biker vet is out to get you. The obvious failure mode of which you warn will simply advance the cause further than she could alone.
