Comment Re:Surprise -- there are a few bugs (Score 0) 245

As usual in software we will find that nuber_of_bugs_fixed will converge towards number_of_bugs_found. But like Achilles and the Tortoise they will never meet.

As in the Achilles and the Tortoise analogy you might think it looks bug free as long as you just step back a bit.

We are still so far from self driving that it should be called a better cruise control.

We pay top dollars (maybe 4x any other brand total cost, the license is ridiculously expensive) for Cisco because they are proven to work and don't fail. We have tried lot of almost as expensive brands and they failed, the chance of us trying something new is 0% testing in a lab another proven brand that is not burned is possible.

I.e to get into market, start with solid cheap stuff (where the requirements are low). Then try to fight the big players.

My estimated outcome: either they do not survive one year or they become as expensive as Cisco if they win.

Comey, Who Investigated Hillary Clinton For Using Personal Email For Official Business, Used His Personal Email For Official Business (buzzfeed.com) 464

An anonymous reader shares a report: Former FBI Director James Comey, who led the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of personal email while secretary of state, also used his personal email to conduct official business, according to a report from the Justice Department on Thursday. The report also found that while Comey was "insubordinate" in his handling of the email investigation, political bias did not play a role in the FBI's decision to clear Clinton of any criminal wrongdoing.

The report from the office of the inspector general "identified numerous instances in which Comey used a personal email account (a Gmail account) to conduct FBI business." In three of the five examples, investigators said Comey sent drafts he had written from his FBI email to his personal account. In one instance, he sent a "proposed post-election message for all FBI employees that was entitled 'Midyear thoughts,'" the report states. In another instance, Comey again "sent multiple drafts of a proposed year-end message to FBI employees" from his FBI account to his personal email account.

Give me a modular battery on any decent smart phone and I'll be happy. The rest of the addons are better suited being generic to any phone. Speakers, better separate from phone. Projector, better separated from phone. The only thing I want to change on my smart phone is the battery when it gets old.

Bitcoin is not a currency it is a easily traded bubble stock. The current value has no substance, value is only based on speculation. I was there in the dotcom bubble, I was a virtual millionaire, I was looking through the Ferrari catalog, no the stocks were not sell-able. No, I am not bitter, I did not pay for my virtual fortune.
