There really isn't any reason at all to link to a site that has a wall when the same information is available elsewhere.

Corporate sociopaths do not get embarrased...
The only way to get me back (and I assume many others):
1. Spez is immediately removed and gets no $ on IPO for breaking just about every ethical rule in the book. He is a piece of shit human not only for this but many other issues over the years.
2. API access is restored and is reasonably priced. They don't get to determine that price; the market does and the market has spoken.
The ONLY way that would be a fair deal is if HP made that crystal clear BEFORE you bought one of these "e" printers. Spell the deal out in PLAIN ENGLISH (not legalese) that in exchange for getting the printer at the listed price, you agree to only use HP branded consumables, the printer must be connected to the internet at all times, and not allow the purchase until/unless the buyer scrolls down the whole thing and then has a "agree" button to click.
Yeah, I KNOW this will NEVER EVER happen..
I just replaced a Brother printer that I'd bought new over 8 years ago. Not to mention the fact that the toner cart that came with the printer lasted me for nearly 1/2 of that time. When the printer finally refused to print without a new toner, I bought a 3rd party one that worked perfectly. After the 8+ years, this printer finally just stopped printing, and I replaced it with another Brother of the same/similar model. Oh and by the way, both of these printers were purchased for less than $100 each. Admiitedly I don't print a lot, maybe 10-15 pages/month in a good month. Back in my sysadmin career days, before I retired, circa 2010, I swore by HP printers, but they have moved to the "dark side" and I won't buy/recommend them to even my worse enemy.
After nearly 8 years, the Brother printer I use at home finally died. During my sysadmin career, HP printers were THE only choice. But in the past decade or so, they've gone down the shithole. I would NEVER buy another HP printer for myself or recommend them to even my worst enemy. I bought ANOTHER Brother printer to replace the croaked one, and I expect to see a similar lifetime out of the new one.
Merlin still includes the asd daemon.
FreshTomato does NOT...
OR FreshTomato.. I've seen both Merlin and FreshTomato and I find FreshTomato the best of the two.
...And don't forget just how STUPID so many of the ads that YT litters on their site. The ENDLESS car insurance ads (hint: ALL car insurance is "only pay for what you need") and of course the out-and-out scam ads. My mute button gets a workout when I venture onto Youtube.
And MS makes it hell to get that LTSC version.
Unless you've got a machine that meets MS's dumb fucking over-the-top specs, you CAN'T UPGRADE to 11 without a LOT of hocus-pocus under the covers. I suspect they're in cahoots with computer manufacturers to force people to upgrade perfectly good working machines to the latest-greatest so that Win11 will run.. Fuck MS!
For at least ONE of us, the "Linux Year Of The Desktop" happened nearly 13 years ago, when I retired from a career as a "windows janitor" and decided I was done with anything MS.
