Living forever is a bunch of crap. However, it's only a matter of time until someone finds a way to get an extra five to ten (good) years of life.

What? We already know:
- Don't skimp on sleep
- Don't smoke
- Don't drink alcohol, or max 2 drinks a week
- Don't eat too much highly processed food
- Eat more veggies
- Limit your sugar intake
- move your ass, walk more
- train muscle, reduce body fat

Nothing moved, I want autonomous cars to be as safe as good drivers like I said in the first place, I don't want autonomous cars being as dangerous as the set of people including drunk and tired drivers. No change, same reason safety AND accountability reasons, with corporations running the show there will be less accountability and less safety that's a given.

So if the technology is demonstrably safer than 99% of drivers and results in a comparable reduction in deaths, youâ(TM)d still be opposed to it?

If someone drives drunk and kills someone then they can be arrested and potentially imprisoned. You can't arrest an autonomous car and the responsibility for any deaths will be too far removed - no-one will be arrested, there won't be enough deterrent to stop companies from putting shoddy autonomous systems on the road.

So yes, I don't want autonomous cars on the road that aren't far safer than your average driver when that average includes people that shouldn't be driving and aren't driving legally.

If an autonomous car could be shown to be safer than a professional driver with years of experience that isn't tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs then I'd be happy for that car to be on the road. But I would not be happy if the bar was set so low as that the car is barely be safer than drunk or tired drivers. I would also not be happy if the allowing the car to drive in all weather conditions on all roads if it had only achieve a good record driving only on easy roads in daylight in good weather conditions. etc.

PS I have also heard of a theoretical intriguing device that consists of gyroscopes configured in such a way that they could cause lift within a box without violating any laws of physics including the laws of thermodynamics. It is simply a quirk of physics and gyroscopes used in such a way as to cause lift, no laws of nature violations because of the amount of energy needed.

I've since tried finding sources but never had any luck.

Russia has been at war with Western civilization for several years, and on every level, on our own soil.

Their biggest victory are the successful splitting and polarization of Western societies, by co-opting conservatives and the right-wing in several countries of the EU and in the United States.
Ask an average FN supporter in France, or an AfD supporter in Germany, or a MAGA republican in the US, what they think about Putin and Russia, and you will hear praises of how a great leader Putin is that really cares about his people, and that Russia is this honorable society of conservative values.

The truth is of course that Putin is a brutal dictator who murders political opponents, suppresses all dissidents and free media in the country, and starts wars and invades his neighbours as soon as they start leaning towards the West. The corrpution of the elites in Putin's inner circle has been bleeding the country dry for decades, while a majority of the population barely has access to sanitation facilities, with dilapitaded infrastructure as soon as you move out of the Disneyland cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. The two major cities are the only part of Russia the leadership really cares about. The rest of the Russian Land Empire is subservient to that, and non-heartland Russian (non-white) minorities in the provinces suffer discrimination and arbitraryness, such as being sent to Ukraine as cannon-fodder. Putin's rule is enforced through violence and mafia tactics. Basically, shut up and play along or you will disappear or experience a tragic incident, such as 'suicide' by falling out of a window. People tend to forget that Putin was a KGB agent who hates the fact that the West "won" the cold war, and has declared the Anglo-Saxon culture to be his own personal, greatest enemy.

Putin and his secret services has managed to align himself with the values of conservatives in the West, like anti-wokeness, anti-GLBTQ, pro "tough guy image", and the conservative right-wing has become so enraptured by these charms through propaganda networks like RT and social media channels, and uses this as a weapon to sow ever larger division and polarization and thereby civil unrest in Western countries. We where very close to the types of outcomes the Russian leadership is looking for on January 6th.
I'm not being partisan, it's just a matter of fact that Russia helped propell Trump to victory because they knew he was the kind of character they had a hold on, and who could be influneced and uses as a tool to further divide US society, which is exactly what Trump has been doing for the last decade.
Remember how they reacted to Trump's victory

Putin and Russia, they are not our friends. Not even of Trump, Republicans or MAGA. They pretend to be, but their goals are to polarize, disrupt, weaken, divide and conquer.

What, exactly, is Google supposed to recommend when viewed in incognito mode?

Videos, Youtube should recommend videos.

What other content site is blank on the home page without links to content, can you imagine going to a news site that doesn't link news and instead just provides you with a search prompt, no, because that is absurd and what Youtube is doing here is also absurd. They could show most popular videos, music videos, trending videos, news videos, sport videos, tech videos, cat videos, etc etc.

The developers have responded saying they can simply re-publish their games but the downside is they have to re-make a new store page and previous players will likely lose some functionality such as the ability to share screen-shots.

"there must be more to the story" Implies there are not idiots making this decision, idiots exist and many are in management, this is a stupid decision that will prevent developers ever wanting to use WB as a publisher in the future and it fucks gamers over for no reason good enough to make public.

Also it is unlikely that buyers of the games would lose them from their Steam libraries, the games would just be delisted from the Steam store and multiplayer would likely stop working. The games would still be playable for people who already purchased them asides from the multiplayer aspects.
