The upcoming World of Warcraft expansion has a number of mysteries associated with it, and one of the most often discussed is 'what will the new Alliance race be'? Blizzard has finally unveiled their plans: The new race is the ethereal wisp. Additionally, community mod Caydiem is back on the official forums and has official details on the upcoming 1.11 patch. From those notes: "- Each player will only be allowed to pick up one flag per game in Warsong Gulch. While this decision is slightly restrictive, we do feel the value of teamwork it will teach by allowing each player more opportunity to shine outweighs any negative side-effect. - New Level 1 only Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin bracket available! - If a match-up begins and drops everyone due to lack a lack of players, Horde automatically wins."

  Seriously, why else would flightpaths at all be used? It's an interesting coincidence that this highly boring game element is lacking in a game like Guild Wars, lacking monthly fees.

You can criticize WoW on many things, but this isn't really one of them. Combined with the teleport/portal mage abilities, I think you're just trolling.

  Yes, because the Community Managers and website design staff are also the exact same people responsible for server stability and game design/coding. Such a terrible waste of valuable resources!

  dude, the post is serious, but the articles it's talking about are not. Wisps are NOT going to be the new WoW race. Night Elves turn into wisps instead of normal ghosts when they die. Besides, even if they did, permanent death would not go over well, especially if the only bonus is that everyone around you loses 50 mana. 50 mana is nothing once you pass like level 5. They're just fooling around with the players. And if you know anything about WoW, you'll know the 1.11 patch notes are a bunch of inside joke
