Summary: Sage HR has been great in changing our HR experience and interactions with employees. They have found it user friendly on their ends to make requests and know upcoming tasks, training and updating their personal information. It did require some set up time to really utilize the system to it's full advantage.
Positive: Easy notifications and approvals for vacation and time off requests.
A great way to store and access our company handbook and policies.
Very convenient for birthday, anniversary and task reminders.Negative: Does not allow for tracking of training and license renewals.

Simple HR Solution Date: Apr 26 2022
Summary: Great and simple tool that is quickly setup and helps keeping an overview of employees, timeoff, vacation and basic HR reporting.
Positive: Simple and clean user interface.
Very easy approval process for timesheets, vacation, etc --> also with a great Slack integration.
Nice org chart feature helping to keep an overview.Negative: Little individualization possible to view eg. all employees that have time off in the next week.

Summary: Our team is enjoying Sage, it’s helped plenty with organizing several moving parts. We look forward to using it as we continue to grow.
Positive: Very easy to use. Sage does a great job of aligning our team and making management effortless on a weekly basis.
Negative: The mobile app lacks functionality, would be great to see it improve.

Positive: The interface is clean, simple and adaptive. The support team are very helpful and can assist with customising the interface to fit your needs.
Negative: Some functionality may be hard to find, but the support team are very helpful.

Very Intuitive Platform Date: Aug 31 2021
Summary: Very intuitive and easy to use platform. The feedback module in particular has proven to be very useful in performing evaluations and providing feedback to our employees.
Positive: The majority of the features our organization needs can be found on this platform. We have been able to centralize a number of our HR-related resources, making them more easily accessible.
Negative: There are some limitations to what the employees can do versus what managers and administrators can do on the platform which can cause some bottlenecks when trying to make changes or edits.

Summary: Fair but there are certain areas can be improved such as downloading reports in Excel and linkage to CRA.
Positive: Time off module helps track staff offs way easier than Excel sheet when there are less than certain number of staff for the company, easy to follow screens.
Negative: Price for timesheet is more than what we would pay for other software.

Summary: Overall seems like a good program that we can use to better manage files and employee certifications.
Positive: Great tracking and ease of navigation through the site. The training tab is cool because it allows me to create and schedule trainings for future classes, invite employees, and notify me and my team all in one program.
Negative: Hard to figure out how to create or update documents, hopefully with the help of my HR team the app will start to become more familiar. I think a Zoom call to go over some of the features would be useful.

Summary: Overall i would recommend this program for anyone who needs HR to track their employees and do payroll.
Positive: I like that I can access this program from anywhere, makes it easier from working from home, I love how I can check up on anything from my phone as well not just a desk top.
Negative: There are a few glitches that need to be sorted out, but I am confident that in the coming months the programmers will have fixed them.

Summary: Overall I think there's needs to be a program update to make Sage HR easier to use. The site isn't very helpful it makes easy task take longer than what is needed.
Positive: The dashboard is helpful and that's about it. The timesheets feature isn't easily to maneuver, syncing calendars is a headache. Punching in on military time with no clear option for users in the US is ridiculous.
Negative: Very hard to maneuver, not user friendly for newbies whatsoever. I find it very to do easy task, everything is all over the place. The signature template does not work. Customer service doesn't have US hours so I've had to meet before work hours.

Affordable, flexible system for small businesses Date: Aug 31 2021
Summary: Great first HR system for small businesses. Great functionality for full time, standard working hour employees. If you have really flexible work conditions I would recommend carefully working through your requirements in your trial phase.
Easy to use, has dramatically improved the efficiency and transparency of our HR admin.Positive: The system is intuitive and easy to use. The ability to select the components you want and not pay unnecessarily for un-used features is great.
It is flexible enough that you can generally configure things to work the way you need them to. The online support team are really responsive and helpful.Negative: The system isn’t equipped to handle part time employees. There are work arounds but it’s not a great experience for those team members.

Also as an Australian user there are a few things that are quite difficult to configure such as Long Service Leave provisions and 7.6hr work days. -

Summary: The main problem with the whole idea of using this software is that once you begin using it you're sort of locked in to always using it. It may be better to create a system from scratch on Microsoft Access or Excel so that you can save thousands in the long run. Honestly, if it hadn't already been set up when I became the Executive Director of our non-profit I would have never kept subscribing. It's just too pricey.
Positive: The system is very robust, allowing the creation of many types of attendance categories. It also allows you to customize the features within each. Customer service is very prompt and thorough.
Negative: It is not as intuitive as I am used to but once I understood how the logic flows it became a little easier. After several years I still find it difficult at times to navigate to the feature I need to accomplish the task I need to accomplish. The price is a little high for what it does, especially when you consider that most of the data is static once entered. The price should be reduced after the first year of use to reward and retain loyal customers.

Summary: It is very complicated to use and I did not like it, and what was more frustrating is the lack of telephone support.
Positive: It looked impressive at first glance but after we started to enter data we run through many difficulties that turned to be a nightmare at the end.
Negative: The whole program is extremely complicated and not friendly user which caused us an extreme stress to prepare the payroll.

Summary: A company like Sage that has been doing accounting and payroll for as long as they have should have a handle on how to make a payroll system. This terrible excuse for a program has cost us hundreds of dollars in wasted time and fees. I would NEVER recommend Sage HR to anyone no matter the size of their company. You'd be better off doing it by hand than wasting your time with Sage HR.
Positive: It sort of integrates with Sage Accounting Cloud, but even that is terrible as it will not allow you to mark a payment as "direct deposit".
Negative: Literally everything else. Interface is bad, links often don't work right away. Constant errors with labelling of employee deductions. One of our admin accounts has never been able to log in and access payroll despite numerous tech support sessions. They're unable to access our information so if they can't replicate the problem on their test servers then they claim there's either no problem or ask us to do ridiculous things like make duplicate employees to rectify the problem.

My employees pay stubs are incorrect and beyond fixing, which legally presents me with all sorts of problems.
No option to select "direct deposit" other than the Sage payment service, which takes a week to deposit funds to employees, which doesn't allow us to follow the law in regards to paying employees. When pressed on this issue, support said "just mark it as 'cash', it doesn't matter". It does matter, on what planet does having the wrong payment type listed not matter??
Employees can't change their email addresses - so if they change internet providers or email accounts, they can no longer access their pay info or get pay stubs by mail.
Their system added incorrect pay categories to some of our employees; one employee who has always been hourly has a year-to-date value for salary pay they've never received. When we brought up this issue and others that affected every employee, we were dismissed because, again, they couldn't duplicate the problem on their end so they couldn't help us.
