Negative: Sometimes, the connection between part and item tracking can get a bit tricky. Also, the absence of change control features can cause some unexpected hiccups in our workflow when changes are made without the right oversight.

Setting up a machine in the system involves several steps across multiple pages, and it can be difficult to ensure everything is properly configured.

I find that I am able to be on top of what’s in stock and when to reorder. It's also great for staying ahead of potential delays.

Negative: Don’t have any cons, haven’t been using the system for long enough yet.

3. Integration with CAD: I like that I can directly upload designs from our CAD software and manage this process with reduced manual data entry and trust my team more as there are fewer risks with less manual work.

Negative: I find when we hire new staff it takes them a while to grasp he system fully, but I must say the AMFG team are always willing to assist with whatever training materials we need.

Summary: It’s made my job easier. I don’t have to worry about manual tracking errors or last-minute scrambles to source materials. Our procurement process are better aligned, and my team feels more in control. The time we’ve saved allows us to focus on some more important aspects of the business.

Positive: Since implementing AMFG, I’ve noticed a complete transformation in how we handle our workflows. The automated material requirement planning is without a doubt, their best feature for our business. It integrates really well with our ERP system and has significantly reduced errors in forecasting. I like that I can see real-time updates on stock levels, pending orders, and what’s needed for upcoming projects. My biggest challenges are ensuring we have the right materials at the right time and staying ahead of supply chain disruptions and AMFG has met expectations to manage these challenges better. What is also really impressive is how well the platform adapts to our specific needs. We often deal with suppliers who have varying lead times and pricing structures. AMFG has helped us to track this and suggests optimal ordering times to reduce costs without compromising timelines, which I also like. The built-in analytics have also helped us cut unnecessary spending by identifying inefficiencies in our previous processes. This has made a noticeable impact on our bottom line. The interface is intuitive too.

Negative: I don’t really have any cons yet. If anything, the reporting templates could be a bit more customizable, even though the data is all there, I have to manage these with a work around with exports.

Summary: There’s room for improvement within AMFG’s system, but it has been a solid investment for our team, and I’d recommend it to anyone working in manufacturing or supply chain management.

Positive: In my day-to-day work life, there’s always a lot to juggle, and I can safely say that AMFG has been a huge help in keeping everything organized. The best thing for me has been the order tracking and production scheduling. I get all the info I need at a glance.

AMFG also integrates really well with some of the systems we already have in place. We use an ERP, and the way AMFG syncs with it has been great. Their system has also ensured that I am not double-checking or re-entering data constantly. I also really like that it alerts you when something is running behind schedule or stock is running low.

Negative: I also think the overall user interface could be a bit more modern. It’s functional, but it doesn’t have that polished feel you see in some of the other systems.

Summary: At Skellerco, we offer a really wide range of services, so it's really important for us to stay on the ball with our production. I suggested investing in this solution, and my team has definitely witnessed improvements in their sense of control over their work as a result.

Positive: Disorganization is a particular pet peeve of mine, especially in the workplace. Luckily with AMFG, managing critical parts and ensuring they meet certain regulations, all while staying organized, is possible. It allows you to automatically reschedule failed parts, providing peace of mind that all is up to standard and operations remain on track.

Negative: There are high implementation costs. These do make sense once you get to know the system better.

Summary: Our customer base used to be very changeable and we'd rarely see the same customers come back to us. It was discouraging to say the least. Since implementing AMFG, we have been able to forge deeper, long-lasting customer relationships.

Positive: AMFG has been a powerful system for reducing churn rates and improving customer relationships in our business, especially because we were desperate for a system that could help us do this. With the system, we can send out accurate quotes based on project requirements and offer competitive pricing to our clients.

Negative: The setup of the system took longer than we would’ve liked. It would be useful to have a quicker and easier setup process.

Summary: It had been a challenge for us to organise our production with the greatest efficiency possible - it was too easy to forget about smaller orders and there were often clashing priorities which we struggled to smooth out. AMFG's autoscheduling feature means we can know with confidence that parts are going to be produced at the optimal times. It has really removed a great headache for us.

Positive: AMFG has been very helpful for managing the increasing number of orders we receive as our business grows. The auto-scheduling feature in particular has made our production process much smoother and a lot less stressful.

Negative: We would like to see a few more integration options.

Summary: Lots of time has been wasted on unanticipated machine malfunctioning in our business - AMFG's KPI dashboard and live status updates, which we were able to customise, has turned this trend around.

Positive: AMFG’s interface for order entry, including recommendations for technology, materials and post-processing selection has been significantly helpful in ensuring accuracy throughout the whole production process. With real-time status updates we can understand our lead times better.

Negative: AMFG takes some time to learn.

Summary: Our business was looking for higher security measures for our production - AMFG's ITAR and ISO certifications have delivered this and improved the value we can offer to customers who work with confidential information

Positive: AMFG offers an on-premises solution, which we appreciate as a business that cannot move to a cloud-based Additive MES solution. Storing data on our own servers has provided us with a greater level of security.

Negative: The setup and configuration process for the on-premises solution is time-consuming and costly compared to some cloud-based solutions.
