Not sure how long you have been away. /. is still the same, more or less.
Still lacks editors, dupe stories, everyone comes here for the comments, still can't post Unicode, still can't post large amounts of source code and have it marked up properly, still no edit button for posts, still a large base of iHipsters, Linux = +karma, Microsoft = -karma, etc.
At least we don't have to worry about hot gritz of the goat.se guy anymore ... ... Reddit is the 4chan of /.
