Being as you are allowed to post as often as you want - I've seen you write 3 or more posts in 5 minutes in recent days - why should we believe that you are capped to a maximum number of posts? Some of us mere mortals who don't accept the conservative mantra that permeates all things slashdot are restricted - even with excellent karma - to posting at a far lower frequency than you but we don't have daily limits.

I think it is far more likely that you are walking away for the night because you can't bear

I'm not running from anything.

However, I do have this thing called a 'life'. This includes a full-time job, a wife, an ex-wife and child, friends and family in about 20 different countries (I'm talking about real people I've actually met in real life, in real places I've really been to), and another book in progress. And I'm studying Mandarin.

In lieu of all this, you apparently have Trolling For Host Files and precious little else.

I like what I have better.

Actually, I've seen several others complain that their posts have been limited recently, despite high karma and/or a subscription.

And I now have to wait 5 minutes between posts instead of 2. Still posting at +1, though.

During the buildup to the Slashcott, I was informed by management that I had exceeded 50 posts (not all in the same thread/article) within 24 hours or something like that and basically told to go stand in the corner for a while, so apparently there is a limit.

I'm sort of amazed that this anti-social site, with friending and posting limits, hasn't died completely. It really is a yardstick in a metric age.

Friending limits? When did that start? Is it a database limitation or a management imposed policy? Is it a limit on how many you can call friend or how many can call you friend?
