Journal Short Circuit's Journal: AoR: Two-on-Two 2

Ralek and Voltore are ready again, this time they're battling two opponents, for a reward of 1000 gold.

Face off. 15 feet. Charge. Routine. Two-on-two action...this ought to be more of a challenge.

Ralek and Voltore are fifteen feet away from two murderers. Voltore charges, swings, and connects, leaving his man with a minor gash across the side. Ralek charges, swings, and hits, leave a deep bruise on the other man's shoulder.

Voltore's opponent swings his axe, and misses. Ralek's opponent slashes with his dagger, and misses.

Voltore attacks his opponent, but misses. Ralek swings at his human counterpart, and delivers a crushing blow to the man's gut. The man crumples to the ground, and Ralek steps over him, after uttering a minor prayer.

The remaining man swings at Voltore, but misses.

Voltore attacks him, and cuts deep into the man's chest. The man attempts to cry out, but falls to their feet instead, dead.

A prayer and a couple prizes later, the two are back in the lower levels.

  • OK. First off, the "Swings, misses. Swings, hits." bit is a little tedious. It's pretty typical of the actual tabletop experience, I grant you, but in prose it gets old quick. I'd suggest you skip the "swings" part, since that's pretty much understood. That'll help a little. And instead of saying that they missed, try to use some other description that indicates that there was no damage done. For instances where both Rolek and the opponent miss, you can say something about how they dance around each
