Journal GMontag's Journal: More things I have learned 21
More things I have learned. Look up the last one. One day I might make links to the inspiration to these trite passages. Sorry, I wrote this at work and I have not re-edited, like it or not.
I am reminded again that Al Gore is the smartest man in America, just because he is, apparently.
I am also reminded that Al Gore was cheated out of an election by George W. Bush.
I like to remind my Leftist friends that the smartest man in America counted the votes that made George W. Bush President the first time.
Only an intellectual can believe that a firm paying $100,000 in taxes while making a $36,000 profit needs to be taxed more. Add some more zeroes and you can convince people who think that they are Conservatives that the intellectuals are correct.
Intellectuals identify themselves by declaring as an intellectual any person supporting some crackpot idea that they believe.
I hear that Jimmy Carter is supposed to be a great person to consult on dealing with Iran.
Learning from one's mistakes does not have an infinite upper limit.
Environmentalists keep telling me to conserve oil but they never tell me what they want to use it for if I don't use the oil. I suspect a hidden agenda.
Somehow, being the only person on the bus to and from work, a 3 mile trip, is more "environmentally friendly" than driving my hydrogen powered Jeep on the same trip.
When one describes fuel efficiency as turning gasoline into horsepower as quickly as possible tree huggers have seizures.
Every issue on the Left is defined by imposing arbitrary style rules on others. When Conservatives join in this method, they have become Leftists and but have usually chosen a different topic.
Communism is the opiate of dumbasses.
The real difference between National Socialists and International Socialists is the acceptance of borders. Well, there is that existence of corporations issue too.
"I forgot my mute button at the gun store" and "I got my mute button at the gun store" will make great bumper stickers that someone else will make a lot of money from.
If Bush was like Lincoln, Murtha would be in jail.
I may have missed my calling as an SAT question writer.
Hippie chicks will believe anything on a t-shirt or bumper sticker.
The meanest people at a demonstration are the ones who say they want to stop the hate.
Elitists are so smart that they have no idea who the "peers" are supposed to be in a jury of their peers. I suspect this comes from their secret intellectual dictionary that changes any definition to suit their argument.
In the super secret intellectual dictionary, the word illegal applies only to the financial activities of the people who they disagree with. Thus, it can never apply to a person who is crossing a border. Check above for their stance on borders.
William F. Buckley, Jr. notices almost everything before the rest of us do.
Dr. Thomas Sowell notices everything else before the rest of us do, along with reminding us that whatever we are experiencing is nothing new.
Dr. Walter Williams explains everything written by Buckley and Sowell in a manner that even a Colonel can understand, if they ever bother to read him.
I learned the three things immediately above a long time ago but just wanted to say them without making another journal entry.
Certain artists define free speech as saying anything that will kill their record sales for their target market. The same artists also believe that any decline in sales is a result of a conspiracy against them.
Glass ceilings are imagined. Codified restrictions create real ceilings.
Writers in colleges describe glass ceilings in endless papers that are printed by their peers and financed by everybody else. The Congress creates real restrictions that are printed in the federal register, enforced at gunpoint and financed by everybody else.
Blaming any president for the size of the federal budget since 1974 is either ignorant, disingenuous or both.
Taking a certification class is easy. Scheduling the test series is difficult.
I both like and dislike the time when CDFM appears my business cards, as hardly anybody knows what it is but they keep trying to tell us how we should do things, no matter what public law that doing it their way would violate.
If Admiral Poindexter had a CDFM in his shop, then Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North could have avoided a lot of attorney's fees.
The values of a Leftist and the wants of a four-year-old are indistinguishable from each other.
Leftists and Liberals can be distinguished from each other by their stances on free speech. Conservatives and Liberals can not be distinguished on that basis.
Conservatives and Liberals can be distinguished by who they expect to pay for their speech to be heard.
Common reporters come up with silly names for rising property values, like a bubble or inflation. They never applied these terms to rising stock prices of internet companies that had almost no value, assets or tangible products until after those companies collapsed.
Price appreciation is almost never used in a newspaper. Inflation is almost always used as an improper replacement.
Edit:
I had no idea that the Communism comment would be supported so well in the comments you can read below.
Sorry for the dead s on my kb, my comments are victims of my failure to proof read.

I think you're failing to understand- I want payroll to be the cheapest thing to invest in. That would mean you'd have to ELIMINATE payroll taxes of all forms- calculated before or after doesn't matter.
