I personally that any country that will turn off communications is a dictatorship. No matter what side of the aisle one falls on, I cannot believe that anyone thinks it is a good idea to give that amount of power to the government. I cannot think of one good or positive reason for this. I only see nefarious people shutting it down to disrupt the dissemination of information that said people wish to keep under wraps. Anyone who wants that scares me. It scares me that it is even being asked for.

Obama Tucson Speech->

My own impression is that he provided what had so far been missing from this tragedy: a response that dignified the memories of the victims and properly placed them at the forefront of public attention. The rousing, celebratory tenor of the remarks took me by surprise, though this did not seem the least bit inappropriate. Whether or not his speech will reorient the national conversation along healthier, more productive lines–whether people will heed his call to demonstrate “our good example“–is something that will become clear soon enough. But it’s hard to think of a more compelling argument for why we ought to do so than the one he put forward: “Only a more civil and honest public discourse can help us face up to the challenges of our nation in a way that would make them proud.”"

Though Turn 10 isn't releasing much information on Forza 4 yet, we do have some preliminary details about the game, and what fans can expect from this much-anticipated release.

Apple may remove the home button on the next iPad->

Submitted by Anonymous Coward
An anonymous reader writes "Steve Jobs is notoriously frugal when it comes to buttons so the latest rumor emanating out of Cupertino might not come as a huge surprise. Apple is reportedly planning to do away with the home button on the next-gen iPad and iPhone and replace its functionality with multitouch gestures. And as luck would have it, the newly seeded iOS 4.3 includes support for new multitouch gestures, one of which is the ability to use a four or five finger pinch to go back to the homescreen"
