It's kind of silly. The people coming here illegally are not usually crossing at border patrol stations.

This really only serves to track law abiding citizen's movements. And you're naive if you don't realize that this is just a pilot that will be spread out throughout the country if not stopped now.

Here's the rub. You can never plan ahead enough to eliminate failure. Sometimes the cost of planning is not worth the cost of the failure you avoid.

Exactly. I have been involved in many projects that spend so much time in the planning stage, that by the time we are ready to move forward, the people supporting the project are gone and all traction dissolved. Then in a year or two, the exact same project starts up again - in the planning stage.

You have a lack of imagination, my friend. Dear old Mitt as much as admitted that he knew squat about foreign policy.

Obama was the same when running for his first time.
This last election, Romney mentioned the threat from Russia and Obama laughed at him during the debates. In fact, most of the things he warned us about that Obama that was funny (Isis being a JV team) have been shown to be true.

I guess every time one party does something, we need to point out examples of the other party doing the same thing.

The thing is, we knew how bad Obama was by the second term. I really don't believe Romney would have been worse. I really don't see how he could be.

Obama has done everything that people hated Bush for and more.

I was wondering how long it would take for the verbatim phrase of "Republicans hate us" to move from troll to interesting/insightful.
Really does go to show if you say something enough, people will believe it.

This is the problem with Obama's campaign machine. His was the first to understand the power of repeating thing over and over again in simple terms and people will believe it no matter how ridiculous they original thought the idea was.

It must have something to do with the type of searches you have preformed in the past.

Granted, I only look at the first page of results, but non of them had anything to do with anti vaccination.

I really don't get how people don't find this scary. What if the next CEO decides global warming is a hoax or that the earth is flat? Do you think the current Google will find websites that complain about Google's stance on privacy factual?

I quit using google a few days ago after reading one of the slashdot articles on alternative web searches and this makes me even more glad I did.

I thought about this as well and switched to Yandex which has a similar interface as gmail. I'd never thought I'd go to the Russians for privacy but they seem less likely to be subpenaed by the feds. That said, using a Russian email probably already brings it's own extra attention to me.

I thought of setting up my own server but decided it really wasn't worth the bother. Most of my friends and family use gmail, so gmail still gets their profile one me regardless of what I do.
