Comment DuPont only cares about the money (Score 1) 377

Technology can be used for good and feed the world. DuPont wants to focus their efforts in assuring that they monetize their tweaks to nature's developments, even at the cost of others' lives or prosperity. When you put more effort into sterile plants that require chemicals than towards nutrition and human survival than you should not be permitted to enter the world food market. Its criminal extortion plain and simple. I guess DuPont's Napalm sales are down so this is another bad use of science.

Right. They don't really care about democracy, they just want to know how you vote, when and if you vote, so that they can sell that information in advance of you voting in order to render your vote less meaningful on election day. Your "vote" is sold as poling data before the vote is ever cast....this will make hanging chads or voting privacy irrelevant. F*ck Facebook, f*cking f*ckfaced f*ckers.

...Merge, downsize, split the stock and/or split the business, rinse, lather, repeat. Corporations are in constant motion and adjustment of their books in order to manage the market, the labor costs, the tax laws, SEC, and the international equities market. All is a hedge on a future that is profitable to a select few, but it impacts all of us. It seems that the interests of these large corporations cause a great deal of uncertainty for their employees and the market in order to be competitive. It was a lot simpler when HP made money by having a superior, high value, affordable product . Now that is no longer the focus because of the complexity of our laws and the incentives offered to a select few who benefit more from a dose of chaos and uncertainty and losses. Especially loss of labor costs whenever it suits them.
