Comment Really everyone? (Score 4, Insightful) 62

This shows that anyone can be targeted in this way, from global celebrities to school children.

I think it's more like "anyone who has a large set of published pictures available"

I probably couldn't ask a GAI to create lewd pictures of my neighbor, cause it wouldn't know how my neighbor looks like. And even if could add my own training data, it probably would need more that one or two random pictures.

The thing you are looking for is html and svg.

pdf purpose is to have documents printed identically on different printers. (or later "devices" in general) But if you ever tried to read a pdf ebook on different ebook-reader sizes you've seen that that won't work without reflow anyway. So it makes sense to use a format that is supposed to delegate some layout responsibility to the device - the opposite of pdf's USP.

No, the legal justification for its illegality is that the substance is harmful.

But that's not illegal.

But that was your whole reasoning why other drugs are illegal. So if it's harmful, it should be illegal, right?

And that's your circular reasoning.

Since you're reduced to trying (and failing) to change the subject, you've admitted I'm right, and that you're full of shit, and you know it.

Loser.

Thanks, I'll return that question.

If quality problems actually exist on the subcontractors floor, then I'd say it's pretty damn obvious who you should be blaming.

The guy who decided to outsource!

It usually doesn't work. And can't work. How can paying someone to do the work PLUS the subcontractors profits (and management overhead) be cheaper than just paying just your employees?

This works in two scenarios: When you can outsource the work to someone with a higher expertise who specializes in that. Won't save you money, but gives you access to expertise. Or if it is not enough work to set up your own department. Like when a small manufacturing company outsources accounting and HR to a specialized company that does nothing else.

Both should not be valid for Boeing and building planes.

Well, that whole list is about what got cut from Assistant - that revolves around voice activities.

And that's where they just sacked a few hundreds employees (actually, their hardware department). So that was to be expected. I'm expecting something like that in the fitbit area, too.

That lists looks like some middle management went to all Assistant teams and required everyone to come up with some cost cutting measures.

So stopwatch gets axed while countdown timer and alerts are still in? There's a reason why that's usually bundled in one app on your phone.

Creating calendar events stays in while moving existing events gets the axe? Biggest maintenance item here is probably the integration between calendar and assistant - and that needs to be maintained nonetheless.
