Submission + - Gorilla Glass 2 to Debut at CES (ibtimes.com)

redletterdave writes: "Corning, the maker of incredibly strong specialty glass for smartphones and tablets called Gorilla Glass, will introduce the next-generation of its scratch and damage-resistant glass at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. From Jan. 10 to Jan. 13, Corning will showcase Gorilla Glass 2 on a bevy of new devices, including TVs, home appliances and even touchscreen car interiors. Corning hopes to engage with CES attendees, including technology companies and hardware and software developers, to discuss the benefits of using Gorilla Glass on new tech innovations. Gorilla Glass 2 is said to have the same strength of the first iteration of Gorilla Glass, but be significantly thinner to accommodate tablet and smartphone makers. At CES 2012, Corning will explore a slew of new ways to use Gorilla Glass technology. Corning will showcase an 82-inch multi-touch LCD prototype to demonstrate how Gorilla Glass 2 can be used in large formats but still maintain its integrity for being both touch-sensitive and durable. The centerpiece at Corning's CES 2012 booth will be a massive video wall completely covered in Gorilla Glass, accompanied by Gorilla Glass sound speakers. Corning claims Gorilla Glass is roughly 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic."

Submission + - Hackers download antivirus source code from Symant (foxnews.com)

TankSpanker04 writes: ""This is going to end up being egg on the face of Symantec more than anything else," Anup Ghosh, founder and CEO of Virginian security firm Invincea, told FoxNews.com. "What they're trying to do here is embarrass companies. These guys are out there flexing their muscles, saying 'Hey, I have source code from Symantec to publicly humiliate them."

Perhaps this is a thank-you card from the hacker community for Symantec's efforts in unraveling Stuxnet."

GMGruman writes: "Many IT pros fear or dislike the notion of the consumerization of IT, where users gain more control over their technologies. But Savio Rodrigues says that IT will embrace consumerization, as its principles migrate into the tools that IT itself uses. He points out it is already happening, such as through appliances and workload-optimized systems."

Submission + - A Look Into Black Hat's Wireless Network (net-security.org)

Orome1 writes: Aruba Networks, which provided and maintained the wireless network for last week’s Black Hat USA 2011 conference, today provided some interesting statistics around the network’s use. Apple devices were most prevalent at 43.3 percent of all devices (28.4 percent alone for iOS iPad and iPhone, with another 14.9 percent running OS X). Linux users composed 35 percent of the total, while Windows users represented 21.8 percent. While the majority of attendees used the Black Hat PSK network, almost 200 attendees utilized the PEAP/EAP-TLS “secured” network. Aruba captured a huge amount of security events, the most interesting of which were IP spoofing, AP spoofing, Power save DoS attacks and Block ACK attacks. Talk about a hostile environment.

If you're having trouble with multiple sign-ins, another option is to use the browser's private mode for a second session. I'm not sure how well this works in IE or Firefox, but in Chrome the private session is isolated from the main one and runs at the same time as the main session. I haven't tested this extensively, but it's allowed me to open both my Gmail and Google Apps accounts at the same time.

Great explanation. Additionally, a public profile gives you the option to choose whether your profile is indexed by search engines (Google intuitively calls the option "search visibility"). If you're concerned about people finding your profile when they search for you, this is a great option that allows sharing your profile only with people who have the URL.
