We are going to be seeing (and have been seeing), more and more posts like this the closer we get to midterms. They know it's ludicrous, but the more people read something (in this case the same general theme,) the less crazy it sounds and eventually some people will believe it.

As shown during the last elections, Democrats are very good at social engineering/conditioning. Look at most of the "hot" topics on this site this month and you will see a post like this.

I am out of practice. I was married 10 years to my late wife and didn't need those social skills. Getting some positive karma before getting into a vernal conversation helps.

You are right, however. This has not helped me when it comes to meeting people. It only works for people that are introduced to me. That is a preety strong handicap.

I started the show on season 2 and watched season 1 afterwards. It was pretty good. Sure I missed some of the foreshadowing, but season 2 was packed with it anyways.

Really, the only thing I lost by doing this was seeing the Narn as bad guys bulling the Centari.

When I watched it years later with my late wife, we never did watch season 1. I tried starting her with the important episodes on season 1, but since she wasn't yet invested in the show, it really just bored her. So we skipped to season 2 and she became a huge fan. Babylon 5, Farscape, and Firefly were her favorite TV Scifi shows and became her favorite shows in general.

While I'm not glad about this, I am glad they are publishing how accurate it is. If Facebook is able to accomplish this, it should be serve as another example of the dangers of letting the NSA (or anyone else) record our lives without our consent.

The safety used to be that the NSA had way too much information and too little manpower to ever make use of it against average citizens. When you read stories about what Facebook and Google can do, you realize the NSA doesn't need the manpower to effectively catalog each of us.

You added nothing except a weak attempt to act like government is only a problem due to corporations.

Corporations get more and more involved with the government due to the increasing regulations that governments put on them.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to separate them now. But the fault for the intertwining lies directly with the government.

I was dating a female sheriff. She was laughing about how a police friend of hers would like to sneak E in his dates drinks and how one girl caught him and swapped drinks.

The fact that she found it funny, that all of his police friends knew he was date raping these women, really put a dent in my view of the police.

And the worst thing is, they would probably treat a civilian that did the same thing as a filthy monster.
