If they will give seafood a honest rating system?

AAA = tested - definitely looks, smells, and taste like lobster.
AA = some lobster and some cod
A = a few drops of lobster juice 100% cod flesh
-A = imitation seafood can be anything found safe and cheap with additives, and fish juice added to make it taste like any type of seafood.
-AA = imitation seafood can be unsafe for children and pregnant women contains all imitation ingredients.
-AAA = imitation not safe for human consumption but sold cheap in supermarkets, and fishmarkets as an alternative to the real thing.

It could put certain jobs on the map that in the past were hard to fill the jobs quota. Plus it could also get rid of the crap that goes no where, and you should not be putting your student loan moneys into in the first place. So it may turn out to be an enhancement for the job market. But it could also cause Colleges to increase prices on certain majors simply because the major itself is a huge money maker, or the job market is hiring.

I was a member of some big banks though the years. A real long time. I got tired of dishing out money at every turn. So I switched to a credit union and i have never looked back.

At my credit union I have 0 interest on their credit card, no charge on my debit card, I get my checks real cheap, no monthly charge, but don't use those hardly at all because I can use my other cards. My debit gets used more than anything.

Honestly I believe the banks saw the debit cards as their money train. They are accepted everywhere, and you can pay bills etc. So they banks decided they wanted some of the pie. They couldn't stand the fact that people were using the debit cards more than checks, and credit cards, and they wasn't seeing a dime of it. You can nickle and dime people for so long, and then they use their feet. Another thing is everyone I know doesn't even use checks anymore, they use a debit card. I am willing to bet that use of checks and their credit cards has dropped dramatically in the last few years. Because debit cards have become popular the banks tried to take advantage of it. That was the reason for them trying to charge on the debit cards.

Another thing about the credit Union is something that happen a few years back. I was on strong meds for a broke leg. I wrote a check to pay a bill, and my credit union called me to enquirer about the check. They said it did not look like my signature. I said yes it was blah blah, and I could not believe they called. I never had a bank call. I even one time had another family member write out the check and send it to pay a bill and even though you could tell it was not my signature they never called me about the check. Banks are nothing but the money. I really don't think they care about their customers until it's time to pay up.

They would of jumped at the opportunity to outline, discus, and teach the importance of media, and how it effects their everyday life. Amazing of how a few people could ban this poster, without even giving the public the opportunity to discus the importance of the ban. I thought College was a means to prep young minds for the real world? Apparently not. So the poster will not have the opportunity of teaching a life lesson. Students once again lose.

"Peter Van Buren, who has worked for the department for 23 years and just published a book that is critical of U.S. reconstruction projects in Iraq, said this week that the State Department had launched an investigation against him earlier this month for disclosing classified information."

I believe his troubles began with this book, and the Feds are looking for a way to nail him for being so critical of the USA Government in his book.

Submission + - Report Warns Space Junk Reaching Tipping Point (reuters.com)

intellitech writes: From the article: The amount of debris orbiting the Earth has reached a tipping point for collisions, which would in turn generate more debris which threatens astronauts and satellites, according to a U.S. study released on Thursday. "The current space environment is growing increasingly hazardous to spacecraft and astronauts," Donald Kessler, the former head of NASA's Orbital Debris Program Office who chaired the study team, said in a statement. In addition to more than 30 findings, the panel made two dozen recommendations for NASA to mitigate and improve the orbital debris environment, including collaborating with the State Department to develop the legal and regulatory framework for removing junk from space. The study, "Limiting Future Collision Risk to Spacecraft: An Assessment of NASA's Meteoroid and Orbital Debris Programs," was sponsored by NASA.

Submission + - China Calls for Even Firmer Internet Control (reuters.com)

eldavojohn writes: "Chinese state media has published a long article detailing why China needs to take even firmer stances on sites like Twitter and the internet as a whole or risk backlash to The Communist Party from "Internet Opinion." The commentary warned, 'Unless administration is vigorous, criminal forces, hostile forces, terrorist organizations and others could manipulate public sentiment by manufacturing bogus opinion on the Internet, damaging social stability and national security.' China seized upon the London riots recently to justify tighter internet censorship. The article, of course, ends with the conclusion that 'Clearly, in the future when developing and applying new Internet technologies, there must first be a thorough assessment, adopting even more prudent policies and enhancing foresight and forward thinking in administration.' While this provides China with their Emmanuel Goldstein and his Brotherhood, it should be noted that the People's Daily is often over the top."

I have used a few as a test run but many lack one or two things above. The one I thought was promising didn't handle sound very well on my box which is windows 7. That was Windows live movie maker. Even using the fade feature did not stop a sound file from handling certain files correctly. The file tended to jump at you, or you could not hear it very well. I believe it had something to do with the quality of the file itself.

Submission + - Companies Shield Jobs Data, Seek Hiring Tax Breaks 2

theodp writes: The Washington Post reports that some of the country's best-known multi-national corporations — including IBM, Apple, HP, AT&T, Pfizer, P&G — closely guard a number they don't want anyone to know: the breakdown between their jobs here and abroad. So secretive are these companies that they hand the figure over to government statisticians on the condition that officials will release only an aggregate number. The latest data show that multinationals cut 2.9 million jobs in the U.S. and added 2.4 million overseas between 2000-2009. Some of the same companies that do not report their jobs breakdown, including Apple and Pfizer, are pushing lawmakers to cut their tax bills in the name of job creation in the U.S. 'It's an important piece of information that the American people should have,' said Ron Hira, an associate professor of public policy at the Rochester Institute of Technology. 'Should you listen to the kind of advice these companies have about how to grow the economy when their record and their model indicates they’ve cut jobs?'
