This is just an easy way to install software without much popping up on the screen to alert the users. I wonder how long it'll be before reports of infections using this installation method. What we really want is someone typing Install-Package Chrom and getting infected because of a typo.

LOL security through pop up tick boxes.

What conflict? I never saw any, except for strict literalists (blasphemers) who believe that G-d's "Days" necessarily are the same as ours with 1440 minutes. What if They average 3 billion of our years? Not necessarily linearly constant either. Space is not, why should time be?

In that case, the people who wrote the bible (and/or any subsequent translators) should have been a bit more careful in their use of language.

Unless stated otherwise, a "day" is 24 hours.

The only magic that exists is David Copperfield trickery, and I say that as a Christian. Miracles aren't magic, they are occurrences with incredibly low probabilities (like several that have happened to me, including my surviving an "unsurvivable" auto wreck).

That is absurd. The whole point about Jesus performing miracles was that they proved he was the Son of God, i.e. a supernatural or magic being.

If they're just lucky flukes or party tricks, they're meaningless.

As an atheist, I don't understand how you could call yourself a Christian without believing in the divinity of Jesus.

Modern churches, even here in the deep south are pretty diverse places, and the general policy seems to be "if you think this is going to start an argument, and is not vitally important, don't talk about it."

I cannot see the point of an organisation that you go to voluntarily (i.e. excluding work) where you aren't allowed to have any meaningful discussions.

Even going out for after work drinks you're likelyto argue about football, politics or something.

Foxfire has been doing this the mid 1960s. How to raise and slaughter animals. How to grow crops. How to bootstrap iron working, including gunsmithing. Everything you need, and with all the mammy-pamby crap from "urban homesteaders" and preppers. Practical knowledge from people that were doing it daily.

Hope they've got one on a quick, painless way to kill yourself. I wouldn't want to live like that for the rest of my life.

Apple equates to an it, not a plural, so you use doesn't instead of don't.

In the UK we quite often refer to organisations/corporations in the plural (e.g. "Tesco are cutting the price of petrol" or "BP are guilty of appalling safety management").

I'm not sure if there's a rule about when you're allowed or supposed to do it, but that's irrelevant if people do anyway.

A flash grenade is an incendiary and concussion based device capable of killing in a metre blast radius.

Plastic bullets, water cannons, riot shields and batons can all kill people, they're just less likely to than heavy machine gun fire when used for crowd control.

I would actually tend to agree with you that flash bangs are more of a military than police tool, but I suppose the argument is that it's better to severely disorientate and possibly long term affect the hearing of a dangerous suspect rather than shoot them dead.

Like insurgents who hide their weapons behind children hoping to vilify their attackers, it seems quite strange someone would place a baby's crib blocking their own front door.

You have presumably been lucky enough not to have any dealings with serious drug dealers. They'd use their dear old mum and new born baby as human shields if necessary.
