The problem is that those in charge in the EU will sit on their collective hands and do absolutely nothing until any problem has become so massive that they are dependent on US military assistance in order to hope to survive.

This was true with WWI and WWII, they sat and watched while Russia invaded Georgia, and now after promising to protect Ukraine if it gave up it's nuclear arsenal, they are sitting and watching Russia toy with it too. Well, siting and watching is cutting it a little thin, they had "words" for them and I think the current commander in chief used his inside voice while not allow some people from Russia to go outside for recess.

You are right, it is not a sound strategy. But it will be reality as history has shown us. It will be a reality as Europe doesn't invest much in their military compared to potential threats. Russia likely has more rusted out equipment that can be put into use than all of Europe combined has available if you leave the US out of the equation. I think right now the EU has about 1.5 million active troops with about 400,000 being capable of immediate deployment where Russia is sitting on about 2 million reserve troops and 1.1 million active duty troops. Of that, roughly 700,000 are ready for immediate deployment.

Of course the US is winding down it's military- or so some of our leaders claim. So this sitting around naval gazing while Russia rapes the fields and pillages the women of European countries might be even worse of a strategy of any of them expects the US to bail them out again.

On the other hand, I like the concept of the glue way better but fear it would turn my random $500 ER visits into a $5000 visit. The point of canned goods is long term storage. Vegetables and fruits are generally in season for short periods of time so in order to have corn all year long, they preserve it. Sometimes this is done by freezing and sometimes by canning. The same goes for meat- there is a lot of meat that gets canned and that is all before we get into soups and prepared meals and such.

You are probably correct in that locally, there won't be much available. But we are talking about a major reduction in the population so instead of having 50,000 people running on a store to gather a weeks supply of food, you will have 20,000 instead- perhaps even less. Just about every major city has a distribution hub or one close by which would increase the availabilities. Imagine if the city of New York with a population of about 8.3 million suddenly had only 2 million people in it. The amount of resources to feed the other 5 or 6 million would go a long ways. And we would be rationing our food instead of eating as much as we please like we do today so it would last even longer.

I personally keep about a 2 month supply of canned goods around in the winter months because my location can see snow and ice storms and getting out is almost impossible. That means not only can I not get to the store, but I cannot get to work or the bank in some cases in order to make money or cash a paycheck in order to get more food. There will be quite a few dead people like me where a good supply of canned goods can be found assuming they aren't contaminated somehow (depending on the disaster).

I did however see where a lot of those enrolled were subsidized through already available health aid like medicaid and medicare (chips and such).

It is interesting that the claim was made that roughly 15% of Americans didn't have insurance or around 45 million people and this was the reasoning why we needed federal involvement in insurance. Even if we allow your number of 12 million number unquestioned, I don't see it as any success. It is still less that half which by most grading scores would be an F for failing.

It is even more interesting that you claim someone posting something contrary is lying and it might turn true if they post it enough. I mean I can understand exaggeration coming from disgruntled citizens who now have to purchase something from a third party simply for being a citizen else face a penalty without any due process or right to face their accusers in a court of law or jury trial in which the constitution seems to protect except in this case which also happens to be dished out by the one organization within the government the people already fear- the IRS who has been shown recently to be converted for political purposes and the sitting head at the time of the conversion now claims she doesn't have to say anything to law makers and oversight committees because what she says may incriminate herself if she answers any questions about that conversion. But exaggeration coming from someone who supposedly supports the law seems to indicate something fishy is going on.

My understanding is that modern or more modern versions of nuclear weapons are hundreds of times more efficient then the ones dropped in WWII. This is due primarily to a change in the ignition design from one that used explosives to ram fissionable material into another fissionable material called a gun type to one that used heat and X-rays from a more easily created fission reaction to ignite a second fission reaction in an enormously more efficient and reactive way. I think this second type is called a boosted fission reaction.

The same amount of total weight involved in little boy can be the total of 6 or 7 warheads from the 60s and 70s with 100 times as much explosive power or more. In the 80s and later, we see some more advancements that make some insane improvements. But the two types of ignition might make it impossible for a direct comparison of the weapons or number of weapons based on the amounts of HEU.

As I said, the issue of citizenship was brought up by hillary supporters in the primaries. McCain, who by your own admission, went straight to the front disclosing everything possible and his citizenship question (which has been questioned before and vetted) was settled quickly. Obama on the other hand, attempted to fight releasing anything substantial and put up this "its because I'm black" front and it continues to this day with useful idiots like you running around saying it's because he is black.

If Obama would have acted like McCain and simply released everything in the beginning, the entire birther movement would never have surfaced and you wouldn't have anything to cry about right now. You say that there was no serious inquiring into McCain, but the fact of the matter was that McCain released everything so there was no time for conspiracies to pop up about why he refused to release any information about his qualifications to be president.

And as for the Hillary supporter, you are correct, a private citizen can do anything they want. But that doesn't detract from the fact that the birther movement was born there with Hillary supporters trying to disqualify Obama from running against Hillary in the primary. Obama could have completely ended the fiasco right then and there by showing his birth certificate like McCain did but he needed the conspiracy to grow in order to create useful idiots like you and the parent poster so that he would have tools running around defending him and yelling racism as if it is a magic word that somehow validates everything you ever knew or thought you knew.

Thats how blm land works- its open range granted to the government by the state to ensure it can be used. Typically, several people graze their cattle on blm lands and they have two round ups a year to brand their calfs and take market cattle out. Litterally think old wild west eith modern tools.

Next, this guy and his family has used this specific land for this specific purpoee since before the state was a state. What changed was the feds demanded he cull his heard so water rights can benifit farmers in California. Some people claim there is a connection to a solar plant that just went up about 30 miles away. Next, a 1975 or 76 law waa supposed to deed the land back to the states but this plot had been skipped. He paid his fees for the use of the land except he paid it to the state instead because the feds wouldn't accept the amount over the set number of cattle they demanded he reduce the herd to.

The only unfair advantage this guy got was due to not letting the feds dictate the terms of his making a living. You can argue if that is or is not an advantage but the change of rules and quotas is a bit arbitrary and shouldn't be made by the government.

You did hit up a good point. Farmers in a libersl state do greese yhe pockets of ppliticians where ranchers likely do not. If the reason of the day is true, someone chose to send water to another state verses keeping it in state and being used how it traditionally has been.
