The science is undebatable.
And that's a political statement.
Frankly, this is an incredibly misogynist move.
It says, "we can't create any strong female superheroes, so we'll just change the sex of one." It's really just like Supergirl or Batgirl, which were pretty much wannabes of the "real" superheroes, as opposed to female Green Lanterns or even a female Robin where it's more about the values and principles of the uniform. For example, a female Iron (wo)Man would make far more sense (alternate universes aside).
Requirements for businesses to take compensation in the form of interest-bearing bonds which are not redeemable during the conflict.
... and are still subject to taxation on both the principal and the interest.
You speak like a politician. When government fails, the answer is more government.
Think about the disgusting things various Presidents have done through executive order-- concentration camps for Japanese-American citizens; extorting small businesses to join government programs like the NRA; confiscating private citizens' gold, then increasing the price; attempting to seize control of the steel industry; and setting wage and price controls. Considering all the complaints from the rest of the world right now, do you want the American Chief of State to have more power?

Well, I hope not.
Seriously, aren't we already close enough to a literal police state? As a manufacturer, I would refuse to enable such an option for the police without a written warrant in my face. Is that feasible during a car chase? Too bad; that's the price of liberty.
"equivalent to 100W" really means "almost equivalent to 50W" thanks to the usual practice of industry-written standards and regulations.
Agreed-- I'm not sure why companies think it's OK to claim a 600 lumen bulb is "60W equivalent". That's why you look for the lumens on the packaging. No lumen rating? Don't buy. No government intervention needed.
