Things like references to there 28 day cycle. I have commented that someone must be in the first 7 days of 28 and had the person in chat ask what I meant. When I replied "You know, your 28 day cycle?" I have been asked "What? I dont understand. 28 days of what?"

Most guys when asked their favorite color of lipstick reply with RED. Hint, there is no red. There is "Wild Orchid" and "Ruby" but no lipstick is just RED

You can also ask about pantyhose sizes, panty sizes, dress sizes, Hair colors, etc, etc. Lots of things that guys pay no attention to.

Then you get to the more obscure stuff like sex during a period tends to relieve cramps, Women will eat something before a first dinner date because the date is about the conversation and not the food. Heck if she gets into Sexting you can really toss some fun stuff in like descriptions of what you are doing to her labia or how you are pressing her cervix. Then watch to see how they reply, do they even know where those parts are?

The joy of growing up with 2 sisters, having two daughters, a wife, and a girlfriend. You learn a lot about women. lol

Yes, it does. It's the only way for practical research to ever happen. You can't go around questioning fundamental assumptions at every turn.

Your right, You cant go around questioning settled science. it would be wrong.

Marijuana is a dangerous and addictive substance that has no accepted medical uses. The science is settled and there is a federal law saying so. So all the Marijuana deniers are just fighting a loosing battle and need to realize that the science is settled. :P

I'd say if you have another 10-15 years of life left in you, you will, no matter where you live.

I have heard that statement made many times over the last 30 years. It has yet to happen and I dont think it will.

The truth is that Bush Sr, GW Bush, and Obama are all the same. There is no difference between Dem. and Rep. It all boils down to money and power, nether gives a S**T about the people.

I only hope that some day enough people wake up and say F*** IT, then vote third party. I would love to see a three way tie or even a race between three parties that comes down to less than 1% difference.

Submission + - Heartbleed Patches Further Expose Microsoft's Flaws (microsoft.com) 1

Keith Kevelson writes: As Microsoft continues to grapple with the Heartbleed bug by releasing new patches, many of the patches reveal other flaws. Several Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 users have already reported that installing recommended updates, including the recently released patches, cause nothing but a blank screen and a blinking cursor upon rebooting. The updates installed range from the Juniper Patch for VPN usage to routine updates for drivers, and people are storming tech-support about it. To make matters worse, Microsoft Tech Support is telling people to reinstall their drivers and operating systems, causing many to lose much of their software and work.

"I called Microsoft and they told me that if I couldn't load Safe Mode that I just have to reinstall everything like Word and Adobe and then hung up. I don't know how to do that" says Katharine Reynolds, a retired hairdresser.

"It was incredibly frustrating because I set restore points, back up my files, and do everything they[Microsoft] recommends, but they still tell you to reinstall all of your software," says Bob Harper, a 52 year old accountant.

I was unable to get a tech support worker from Microsoft to comment or reveal his full name for quote, but I can confirm that they did recommend reinstalling the hard-drive after enough things fail. I also enclosed a link from 2010 that reveals that this problem has been happening for a long time now. At any rate, failure for Windows to load is usually caused by updates enabling the UEFI mode by accident. The fact that nobody told these people how to disable UEFI and switch to legacy mode after installing updates, which almost always solves the blinking cursor problems after updating Windows, is deeply disturbing.

Submission + - U.S. Military Drones Migrating to Linux (linuxgizmos.com)

__aajbyc7391 writes: Raytheon is switching its UAV control system from Solaris to Linux for U.S. military drones, starting with a Northrop Grumman MQ-8C Fire Scout helicopter. Earlier this month Raytheon entered into a $15.8 million contract with the U.S. Navy to upgrade Raytheon’s control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to a May 2 Avionics Intelligence report. The overhaul is designed to implement more modern controls to help ground-based personnel control UAVs. Raytheon’s tuxified version of its Vertical Takeoff and Landing Unmanned Air Vehicle (VTUAV) Tactical Control System (TCS) will also implement universal UAV control qualities. As a result the TCS can be used in in all U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps UAVs that weigh at least 20 pounds. By providing an open standard, the common Linux-based platform is expected to reduce costs by limiting the types of UAV control systems that need to be built and maintained for each craft.

I have a 1923 German 8mm Mouser Sniper rifle. I paid $90 for it several years ago and at 100 yards with hand loaded matched ammo I can create a single 8mm hole in the target with the first round and put the next 5 rounds through the same hole. At 200 yards I keep a pattern under .25in.

Low cost accurate rifles are available.

the explicit purpose of guns is to harm others, in this case creatures inclusive. but how many hunters are there? and how many pistols? and how many assault rifles? you don't need 16 rounds to take down a deer, or a handgun. the explicit purpose of guns that aren't meant for hunting, is for harm, or the threat of harm.

You have never hunted HOG in Texas. Yes we use assault rifles with 30 round clips, we carry a pistol just in case and many of my friends will make sure they have a sharp bayonet on the rifles as well.

Why, because a 300lb HOG can and will kill you with out a second thought. They are dangerous and you go prepared. Sure there are some that go with nothing but a couple of dogs and a knife or with a single rifle. That is there choice.

BTW, we can hunt them with silencers, infra red scopes, at night from a helicopter as well.

Ok, I went to linux 20 years ago.

I am also in IT, I am a Linux systems engineer. (over 20 years at it, Solaris before that, Sun OS before that, SCO and ATT System 5 before all of it)

I use windows on my work desktop because someone else decided it was the correct solution.

I have listened to management for 20 years demand that "It should be a windows solution" when really the solution should be looked at and choices made based on the merits of the job at hand.

I don't hate Microsoft, I also do not believe that every answer should be to use a Microsoft product. If a tool is a tool then join me and give Linux a try, otherwise you are the one who is not "in the position to speak from knowledge on the subject"
