Carbon taxes > Carbon credits. It removes the incentive to fudge carbon reductions for profit in this way, instead only emissions are measured and the closer they get to 0, the less companies pay. The taxes can then be spent on things like doing real atmospheric/oceanic carbon sequestration by a government that doesn't have a profit motive incentivizing them to screw it up in a way that conveniently funnels zillions of dollars into top management's wallets.

What's the plan?

China Badger don't give a fuck.

If the plan is to pray for China to have a change of heart then they should put their money into churches.

Otherwise adaptation.

The bonus of adaptation is it works even if the computer models have errors.

Which, of course they do.

Spike protein does shed - it's been measured. There are papers on NLM/NCBI. Your news sources told you that, right?

Spike is probably only a concern for breast-feeding infants, blood transfusions, and sexual relations.

There are already 'pureblood' dating apps available so the market is responding. The Japan bloodbank is moving on it too to minimize cost overruns.

Plato was a big thinker but he suffered from "left-brain poisoning" which leads to over abstraction, including racism, classism, political parties, communism, and other mental disorders. "Plutonic Ideals" were supposed to be a though experiment originally.

Aristotle did major work to fix Plato's fuzzy-headed thinking.

Has someone written a feature to make this better and it's being ignored?

Or is this a matter of insisting someone else do something?

TBH it sounds like we need a standard for pre-rendered blurb and thumbs.

Extended OpenGraph for thumbs? Or does that exist?

Social media is moving to distributed no matter who dislikes that idea, so make it as efficient as possible, yes, but don't bitch about reality.
