Microsoft ought to reconsider a lot of things, but like Amazon, once they saturate their user base, they want more garbage to earn more money, just like Amazon, because as a public company, THEY NEVER GROW FAST ENOUGH to satisfy the "markets."

At the start of the Shuttle design, RFQs went out to thousands of suppliers in the aerospace sector including a friend & mentor of mine.

Rudolph Kreuger, was an expert is seal design of many types amongst his aerospace contributions. He was a professional engineer and took the proposed rocket stage seal design specifics for the contract seriously and did his calculations.

His conclusion left him concerned about the viability of such a proposed set of conditions for the seal through the range of use conditions so he declined to quote.

The interesting thing to me was that for such a SUPER critical seal, I would have expected that an engineering company would want to find out why a recognized professional engineer sought to not quote the design to learn what they could for future design work.

Doing a critical point analysis ought to be part of every significant highly stressed assembly & I wonder if it was finally done correctly. It seems to have been ignored if it was.

Rudy, died over a quarter century ago, and as far as I know, no one but me and maybe his sons ever knew about this proposed design as he was a very quiet person. Putting yourself into public view can have all sorts of unintended consequences, which I surmise Rudy wanted to avoid.

I have repaired a few older PCs & Macs with "new" batteries and those batteries really were degraded from sitting in storage.

I and a few friends have older MacBooks and there are specific reasons to keep them running, but batteries & other parts are always a problem.

The US government is NOT a disinterested party here in pressuring social media to stop anti-vax statements. There is already enough information from medical groups & researchers to conclude that there was a bunch of BS in the vaccinations, the reporting, the counting of Covid cases and logging of Covid deaths, because of the US Govt. giving bonus payments when a hospital claimed a patient had Covid.

Moderna's vaccine has been conclusively shown to be nearly worthless & has been banned in many countries.

Side effects of vaccines are real as have over classification of Covid deaths & illnesses as the US Govt. gave increased subsidies to hospitals for patients who had or were stated to have Covid, whether they did or not. That artificially increased the # of Covid cases & deaths because it was profitable for hospitals.

Yet, the US Government has given immunity to vaccines developed in 6 months time that would normally take 6 years to clear the FDA/CDC guidelines.

The whole Covid response was a mess in my estimation, and the estimation of a lot of lifelong medical researchers and vaccine developers.

The final story on Covid will be written in a book with accurate statistics probably within a year and we will find out how bad the CDC and US Gov't were in their actions & the financial profits which went to some government employees, which was indeed influenced by political operatives who wanted to benefit their side of the "aisle." There is an unverified claim that certain CDC employees profited by owning various vaccine mfgrs stocks & the CDC is silent on this.

Covid was a "bad flu" no doubt and killed people with lots of chronic illness, which is just like a bad flu in any year.

Mandatory vaccinations or other medical "treatments" is exactly what Nazis did after WWI and which the Nuremburg trials outlawed ... except for Covid ...
