Sitting next to a table with used dishes makes you unhappy? If the restaurant has a host/hostess seating you, they generally aren't going to put you at a dirty table unless it's very busy and in that case usually quickly clear the table while you are sitting down. If it's a "seat yourself" situation, don't sit at a dirty table.

The voice simulation was great

George Carlin had a raspy voice with remnants of a New York City accent. This has neither of those. I haven't listened to any real Carlin lately so can't really compare, but the pacing and tempo seemed way off as well.

If I heard this without the "this isn't George Carlin" intro, I would probably label it as a computer speech generator reading some Carlin inspired attempt at a comedy show.

I guess I'm old school too. I store objects in a hierarchy that I create and curate. If I lose track of an object, that's on me. In an automated system that tracks objects based on a externally, to me, applied set of metadata, I expect to lose track of more objects.

An old gnome email client, and Gmail, both try to do this with "tags" or whatever they call it this week. Leaving the tagging to me didn't seem any different than creating a tree of folders, other than being left with an enormous mess of an inbox. Now I'm supposed to believe a program that doesn't understand my thinking is going sort and tag things in a way that I understand?

In sports, just like the corporate world, it is often the case where a poor leader can be the cause of poor performance. Poor vision and strategy comes from the top. If you have poor strategy and a great team, you are probably not going to do well. It also tends to be difficult to fire the whole team and hire a new one.

Also In both cases, firing some middle level manager may or may not lead to a change in performance. They may not have a real say in the higher level strategy, and they aren't doing the actual work, so they're not able to have a large effect on overall performance.

That isn't how I read the OP at all. There is a difference between saying Apple invented those things, and saying they were one of the first to put them in a product that targeted the general public instead of academia or some niche industry use.

You certainly do pay a fee to use your debit card, it's just hidden from you. The merchant pays $.50+ a percentage of the transactions total value to visa/Mastercard/Amex. The merchant has to increase prices for so customers to cover that cost, so your purchase via debit card is actually being subsidized by cash customers.
