"My hope is that this doesn't make its way into apt-get."
And then the young tech workers will be out of a job, too.
Why pay for a FT human dev when AI can do it in mere seconds (albeit with much less quality, but does that even matter to the BoD?) It's all about the bottom line to most current corporations, unfortunately. Most of the business world has a massive ethics deficit and it's likely going to get worse before it gets any better.

"Does WordPress com own your content?
You own your own content, WordPress.com does not retain rights to your content. But you do grant them a royalty free world wide license to display your material – else they would not be able to show your content on someones computer screen."
All this money being thrown around for my content - where's my share of the money?
I don't understand how this is legal. Does the ToS give them copyright to the data I post on their platforms?
Man, maybe I just don't get it because I've never used a smart watch before... but My G-Shock with Multi-band 6 (atomic timekeeping) and solar charge has a 10-year battery, display is always on, and has all the functionality I need for something I wear on my wrist. Everything else I can use my phone for, which is (usually) close by. I wear my watch because I want to be able to tell time, maybe use a stopwatch or countdown timer, and have a handful of alarms (which I use as my alarm clock too) but not be constantly distracted. It's perfect, nearly indestructible, and will never become obsolete.
2-4 degrees is MASSIVE.
If we did (the bulk of) the work for this $60M, how much do I get for having > 250k post and comment karma?
Maybe a class-action lawsuit could give us what we deserve, if OUR content is being monetized. Doesn't that seem fair?
The trolls are shivering, look at the comments so far. OH NO, RUST IS GOOD AND I DON'T LIKE THAT!
Same as the OLD Microsoft.
Fuck M$ in their stupid pussy faces.
I could've done that in five minutes!
Maybe I'm just a diehard but why install apps *especially* like Thunderbird, Firefox, etc. from a flatpack/snap/whatever when the distro's package manager has it? Even Debian isn't that far behind in versions for FF. v115-esr vs. v122 currently. I mean, I guess I get it if you need the very latest and don't wanna compile from source, but it just seems like a waste of time. Change my mind?
The "Open" in OpenAI is completely bogus at this point, both technologically and ethically speaking.
"Even your TOASTER will be connected to the Internet! Ha! Ha! Ha!" We said.
Yes, we said it. And now look at what happened.
God damn it.
