This is really a huge myth that has been sold to mainstream america by corporate interests. Unions are working to make businesses engines for economic growth for society instead of engines for enriching a few wealthy individuals. It's funny how so many people say "i don't believe the liberal news media" but then they buy this shit which has been spoon fed to them by the so-called "liberal news media". How many news stories have you heard in the US media about unions keeping a business out of an area, but you never hear about a business that refuses to go into an area because there is a strong union presence even though it happens all the time. Unions work in your best interest even when you don't understand that, and even though you don't deserve the protection because you'd gladly submit to corporate rule.

Submission + - T-Mobile Writes The Best Press Release You'll Ever See From A Phone Company (techdirt.com)

Reverand Dave writes: At the beginning of January, AT&T directly began offering T-Mobile users $450 to switch. Apparently the company has realized that if it can't buy T-Mobile directly, it might as well just buy its customers. Now, most companies when targeted by a larger competitor in this manner might sort through a variety of responses, and I'm sure at some point, perhaps late at night under the influence of an extra alcoholic beverage or two, someone might suggest the following. But to actually go ahead with it... well... that's a bit bold. In short, T-Mobile flips the offer on its head, noting that since it only applies to T-Mobile users, AT&T users now have a "risk free" way to test out T-Mobile — and they throw in hilarious fake quotes from AT&T Mobility's CEO, Ralph de la Vega, mock the "death star" and a variety of other things you don't normally see in a telco press release — such as comparing de la Vega to Darth Vader.

I have witnessed this exact behavior in my neighborhood. The Muslim boys run rampart and are just little pieces of shit because the fathers can't be bothered to parent and the mothers don't dare chastise their little princes while the girls are afraid to look anyone in the eyes. As a male it doesn't affect me, as a father it does, but only until the kids see me because they know I'm the mean guy with the nose ring that won't take their shit.

I can count on 0 fingers the number of times that muslim teachings and jewish teachings have directly taken a shit on my liberties in the US, with the exception of a few South Park episodes. However I can't begin the count the number of times that ridiculous xian bullshit has ruined my day. I think the operative term in the AC's post was "in America." Muslims don't control enough of the population of affect real change in the US and the jews are happy to keep it relatively quiet, however miss Bobbie Sue from Wichita is fucking things up for everyone daily with her religious bullshit, especially in red states. I think that was the point the AC was trying to make.

Non-westernized muslims are fairly rare here in the US.

Submission + - T-Mobile is scaring Wall Street for all the right reasons (bgr.com) 1

Reverand Dave writes: Here’s how you know that T-Mobile is onto something: It’s making Wall Street very nervous for all the right reasons. Reuters recently talked with several financial analysts who all expressed fear that T-Mobile was sparking a pricing war in the wireless industry and that carriers were starting to actually compete with one another for our business. Or as Reuters puts it, “the intensifying competition is a new challenge to a U.S. industry long used to imposing its will on consumers, and analysts fear it could result in the loss of billions of dollars of revenue.”

It appears that Wall Street is having issue with the free market moves made by T-Mobile.
