  • Kiss my shiny (eh, not really) TITANIUM watch!

Birthday present from boyfriend of tuxette last year :-)

    • D for me as well.

What's the definition of expensive? More than $100? More than $250? Either way, I have a Bulovo Millennia. Awesome watch. It has no batries.
      • I'd say more than about 200 of your american dollaz.

The reason I got the storm digigrand was that it had digital and analog, personally I hate reading time from analog face and will probably not bother if I had one. On the other hand digital watches ususally look retarded so I spent about 3 hours going into every watch shop around trying to find one with both! I've had it for about two years now and it seems to have messed up somewhat, the buttons now do random things so I might get a pimp watch.
    • Cheap digital watch (metal strap) for me - great, until it went through a TSA X-ray machine at IAH last year, at which point it developed weird problems (the display fades to a blank and stops updating the time, until I turn the light on for a few seconds!). Probably something battery-related.
  • I have an adequate Timex with the metal band. It's got a hinged clasp that makes it impossible to pop open without me wanting it to.

But then I fucked up my wrist wearing it while ice skating. Wrist was screwed for like a week. Haven't worn it since. I'm always around a computer anyway so I got's no need to wear one anyway.
  • My parents bought it for me as a birthday give, when they stopped briefly in Bahrain on their way back from a holiday in Bali. It winds itself every time you move it about, no need to worry about it eventually stopping in its tracks, like the watches I've had before. Also, I can correct the day indicator without stopping the hands, which is another great advance as far as I'm concerned...

  • Modestly expensive (~$120) analog with leather strap, from Fossil. Had it for about eight years now -- suited me then, suits me now. Haven't seen anything since that I liked.

It was one from back in the day when Fossil watches were more obviously straight '50s retro. (The Fossil line originated from a small project from ultra-retro designer Charles Spencer Andersen [csadesign.com] of Minnesota in the early 1990s, and it took off from there; you can still get the more quirky CSA watches if you look hard enough.)

  • Not the old big ugly one. This looks pretty much like the regular ironman. It hooks up to usb and can synch up to Outlook.

I always have my phone numbers and calendar and the games are pretty cool.
  • Most of the time I wear an expensive gold watch with a metal clasp thing on my arm. But I often also wear a pocket watch.
  • H Analog w/ leather band
  • ... you insensitive clod!

But, when it's not, it's just your run-of-the-mill middle-of-the-road priced metal band silver and gold analog watch. Nuttin' special.

I don't wear one at all - I just look at the clock on my computer (synced by NTP), or in the instrument panel of my car, or if I'm not near a computer or driving, on my mobile phone.

Now if only I could get an NTP client for my Nokia 6820...
