      the dog isn't responding to the shit on the carpet, it's responding to the violence you are exposing it to by grabbing its head and pulling it down. by the time you get home the dog doesn't know where the shit came from, and if you give it enough time it'll likely eat it anyways. the lesson you're teaching it isn't to stop shitting on the carpet but to avoid you. of course,

      • ... and somehow changing the subject endlessly is better? I guess if you live in perpetual fear of having a discussion - or worse, of being shown to be wrong - then you might see that as a suitable tactic. It does complement your continuous allegations of ad hominem pretty well.
