The place is going to be way to jam packed on friday/saturday though, so i used sunday but we can move it in the week if more people want to?

Have you though of a way to recognize ourselves in the bar? J'suis francophone et j'ai l'impression qu'on aura sans doute un mix de francophones et anglophones!

Considering I'm probably not the only "official attendee" who will try to bring other geeky fellows, I was wondering if Dieu du Ciel could handle a relatively large
(I've never been there, but I hope/expect we will at least be 30-50)

Plus, as a complete aside, literally everyone I know (including myself) views DDC beer as the absolute worst in the entire city. A quebecois beer company that can't make a decent rouge/blonde doesn't bode well!

Since it seems we'll be at least 20, would it make sense to call the DDC and tell them we'll invade? I believe making them aware of our takeover will ensure a better experience for all of us (so they won't be surprised and beer will keep flowing in!).

Let's go to the 2nd floor long, private, terasse of the St-Elizabeth: already had a couch surfing meeting there and we could fit 30-40 easily just in that part.
It's on St-Elizabeth just north of St-Catherine between the st-laurent and berri metro station.

Interesting to see a sample of Slashdot readers. Most were very friendly, some were rather shy (as we expect nerds to be?), some were "older" but some were also very young! And the discussions about 1.5D, 2.5D, 3.5D, surfing in Hawifi, this North Korean drum-driven CD and three-way code merge were definitely worthy of a Slash-like party, and that barmaid reading the Slash book.

Vu que vous êtes rendu 3-4 d'ici, il faudrait se trouver une date pour les t-shirts quelque part dans dans la prochaine semaine ou 2, un soir quelquonque...
