Slashdot requires you to wait between each successful posting of a comment to allow everyone a fair chance at posting a comment.
It's been 54 minutes since you last successfully posted a comment

I'm not entirely certain, but I think not posting for 54 minutes counts as "waiting" (note how it doesn't say this time that it requires me to wait 2 minutes, it just says I have to "wait").
I never did get a response to my troll-hunting request, but the month-long ban lifted a few days after I sent the e-mail. Maybe someone appreciated the off-kilter humor, I don't know.

Hahaha!
After I mailed a complaint to pater about my 60 minutes long "waiting" period, my account posting hasn't been blocked anymore. However, if I make an anon post I'll have to wait about 15 minutes before I can post again. Makes me wonder if the /. crew has been trying to hinder anon posting by tweaking the blocking system?

Also, is that proposed amendment some sort of satirical statement? With the exception of Sensenbrenner, all the named congressman on the resolution are democrats.
