This is much needed move as they also recently closed a number of loopholes, such as assumed fuel savings credit for engine start-stop technology, that made it more difficult to meet these goals. More so, recent string of engine and transmission failures from multiple manufacturers shows that meeting fleet standards came at a very significant cost of reduced reliability.

What did you think about his comments on the podcast with Tucker regarding that young manâ(TM)s death (the engineer who worked for him, not the teenager who took his life recently).

Then they will do something else. Where does this line of reasoning end, just stopping innovation to preserve raw labor numbers? Â Look at the industrial revolution, the most significant example of this type of change in the history of mankind. Yes there were people who were left behind [most notably in agriculture] but on balance humans' quality of life is dramatically better.
