I have noticed that whenever I get modded + Funny my Karma goes down.
Is this normal? I can't seem to find anything in the FAQ about it.

Two of your recent Funny posts have negative moderations which is killing your karma.

Funny doesn't raise Karma. Slashdot needs a "Not Funny" moderation that will take away funny without lowering Karma. As it is, people have to use Overrated or one of the other moderations.

In your case, NotFunny wouldn't have saved you from your recent Redundant or Flamebait down-mods.

I still can't believe they haven't fixed this loophole. M2 doesn't even begin to cover it.
