I would be something is if ArcaOS, HaikuOS, ReactOS and FuchsiaOS can merge together on using the same microkernel (Zircon) away from the Linux kernel... but that is too much dupe.

OS/2 Warp was a full 32bit operating system. Microsoft had it own called Windows NT. But both required memory resources that was not cheap at that time. IBM didn't care, and Microsoft says, lets release a mediocre operating system until hardware get cheaper and we can switch everybody later to Windows NT. Windows 95 was born after that, later Windows 98 and Windows Me... and finally with Windows XP we joined the Windows NT train.

This is a very common issue. I have now several "cloud exclusive hardware" bricked, specially webcams. Is there a hackers group, community or web forum discussing this and making efforts to document and hack this kind of hardware?
