I think it may be evidence that Amazon has a shitty corporate culture that squeezes every penny it can out its employees.
Corruption can happen anywhere, but it's more likely to happen in totalitarian cultures where people feel like the system is rigged anyway. That's why countries like Russia and China have corruption problems. But I suspect the same feelings of me vs. the system occur in a capitalist enterprise like Amazon where employees are governed by dystopian, rigid, computerized metrics.
"It's an agent that prompts Claude,"
It's AI all the way down
Notion is really only valuable as a memory/brain for Claude these days. It actually excels at that when used properly. I was also annoyed by their gmail/calendar inetgration though. It really wanted to take over the inbox and tag things how it wanted. I just didn't understand the point of it.
Micron started a new fab at their HQ in 2024 and it's barely halfway built. They have another one going up somewhere on the east coast also. They take years to build and many billions of dollars. They don't go up over night.
I worked at Micron for almost 9 years and have seen the fabs being built. Its not small feat.
From the summary:
Microsoft, for its part, says the bugs were minor and stands by its findings and roadmap.
IOW, they're sticking with their marketing pitch.
If you trust the people working for you, you pay them well and fund their projects.
That's no longer the American Way (if it ever was).
I see you registered here 3 minutes before me. I remember when this place was hosted in Robs dorm room.
The Gulf Stream is a wind system starts some place around Florida
Wind is part of the cause, but the GS itself is an ocean current.
The reported drop ins SpaceX is understandable given the recent IPO.
As for most of the others, is a 2% drop significant?
It's just too big to fail.
In a free country, "too big to fail" is to big to be allowed.
Wow, someone from the future. What is 2917 like?
I'm not from the future. It's just that time is cyclical.
There are various hypotheses to explain it, such that the universe is cyclical or that we're stuck in a time loop. But the most broadly accepted hypothesis is that a prior civilization collapsed at the end of year 32,767, and it has taken us almost 35,000 years to get back to where we are now.
Of course, our calendar doesn't allow for a year 0, so we may have an off-by-one error. But then again people celebrated the millennium at the end of 1999, so maybe there's a tacit assumption that there was in fact a year 0.
You must be somebody that watches porn for the character development and the story...
Actually, I like watching the stunt men and special effects.
Nah, they're just jealous that other people's fuckups have been dominating the news, and they want some of that old-fashioned media love too.
I haven't been to the cinema since 2917, because everything was already too boring and predictable to watch. Let alone pay for.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing for money.
