I've been in the open beta too and I'm impressed so far. There are a few bugs, but fewer than I recall seeing in WoW at this same stage of release. I have to agree that the public quests are great. They're easy to get into (no worrying about joining a party) and fun. I like what little I've seen of the RvR too.

Submission + - Intel details Nehalem CPU and Larrabee GPU (pcper.com)

Vigile writes: Intel previewed the information set to be released at IDF next month including details on a wide array of technology for server, workstation, desktop and graphics chips. The upcoming Tukwila chip will replace the current Itanium lineup with about twice the performance at a cost of 2 billion transistors and Dunnington is a hexa-core processor using existing Core 2 architecture. Details of Nehalem, Intel's next desktop CPU core that includes and integrated memory controller, show a return of HyperThreading-like SMT, a new SSE 4.2 extension and modular design that features optional integrated graphics on the CPU as well. Could Intel beat AMD in its own "Fusion" plans? Finally, Larrabee, the GPU technology Intel is building, was verified to support OpenGL and DirectX upon release and Intel provided information on a new extension called Advanced Vector Extension (AVX) for SSE that would improve graphics performance on the many-core architecture.

Ford Claims Ownership Of Your Pictures 739

Mike Rogers writes "In a move that can only be described as 'Copyright Insanity', Ford Motor Company now claims that they hold the rights to any image of a Ford vehicle, even if it's a picture you took of your own car. The Black Mustang Club wanted to put together a calendar featuring member's cars and print it through CafePress, but an attorney from Ford nixed the project, stating that the calendar pics and 'anything with one of (member's) cars in it infringes on Ford's trademarks which include the use of images of their vehicles.' Does Ford have the right to prevent you from printing images of a car you own?"

Journal Journal: Moved within the last 6 months? TigerDirect doesn't want you

So, for the last three days I have tried to buy a computer for my new home office. I never dreamed it would turn into the nightmare that it has!
I tried to buy a computer, memory, and some hard drives from TigerDirect. After I added what I wanted into my cart I decided to check out before I spent more money than I needed. I moved several months ago into an apartment to stay until I found a permanent home. I have a new location and that is the address I changed my old address to for ship
It's funny. Laugh.

The japanese juggernaut continues its inexorable onslaught of world domination. First were the geishas, and the bastardization by Americans as to what they really are.

Then came watches followed by cars and electronics. Nothing happened for a while until in quick succession there was tamagochi, anime, manga, hentai and rice queens (among other cute female delights).
