I still find good people here. And the site works for me. I've never had the level of dissatisfaction that some people have had here. I tend not to dwell on the negative, in any case, but rather to enjoy the positive.
As Railgunner says, I don't particularly want to fit in on Multiply. Not because I would have to compromise who I am, but because the group has lost its spark, whatever it was that made it interesting for me. There are some people that I will keep in touch with, but I don't need or particularly want to indulge in Facebook/MySpace/LiveJournal-type socializing.
So, I will be staying around here.

I agree though. I still read a bit of the front page, if only to see where the loons are heading today. And I read the journals that are posted by friends. For what it is, slashdot serves a purpose.
Sure new features would be cool, but most of my reading here is with lynx. Most of the newer features bug me, such as how pudge quotes previous comments as it doesn't show up in a separate color now. I would certainly like to avoid a site where aja

I'm very unlikely to leave slashdot... Sure, I mostly play around as "Corporate Troll" and I don't learn as much about open source as I used to by reading the front page, but that's probably only because I already learned so much. So, yes, I read the frontpage and I read what
