Journal jawtheshark's Journal: A weird afternoon 12

Originally I was going to tell you how I tested my car doing 190kmh on a 90kmh road, but somehow I didn't get that posted this morning.

However this afternoon was weird. I got to the parking lot at 19:30 after work (because I was very late this morning) and someone called me. It was Jean-Luc a friend of my brother and he invited me along for a beer. So we went for a beer (me on empty stomach).
What was very surpirsing was that I suddenly see David. That's a freelance guy I have worked with two years ago and I like him. He was there with an absolutely gorgeous babe. I walk up to him and talk to him about old times. I tell him about Jen and what happened to me. Turns out the babe was his *wife*. What the *censored*??? He used to be the complete casanova. But no, he had this gorgeous babe next to him and it was his wife. Last time I saw him was only a year ago. Strangest thing is that she is a russian. You see, apparently you need to fall in love not with first-country women. Go for those that are a bit defavorised, and they will leave their country. He with is Russian, Laurent with his Mexican. Yeah, I know... say "economic reasons", but they still have wives.....

*sigh*

Oh, well Jen emailed me back... For some reason the email felt cold. Very cold. It's never gonna be like before Thanksgiving last year. She is actively avoiding computers. That means in essence: actively avoiding me.

That is a VERY good point! Find some women who don't have really comfy-cushy lifestyles and are spoiled into thinking that they'll be able to find something better a little closer to home; some women who don't have anything to lose! Like getting a dog from the pound versus buying one from the breeder. The pound critter will appreciate you a *lot* more, won't she?

Oh well. You'll know better next time.

ok, so i'm not in russia...but geeks might as well be from a 3rd world nation when it comes to most women. not all women, just the vast majority of them...and yes...i'm bitter...

It will never be like before thanksgiving last year unless you give the seperation some time. Just let her be for a few weeks, then try to start a friendship over again. If she is cold again, then give it a few more weeks. You need time apart. Trying to talk to her now just makes it worse.

all you need to do is start reading some of the spam you recieve. spam will tell you all about the beautiful women in places like russia who are waiting to marry you. some spam even comes with pictures.

    i hope no offense was taken. i meant no offense to real russian women looking for husbands. while i know for a fact that there are many beautiful russian women, i doubt that every business sending spam about it is on the level. mostly because i don't trust any business (individual business, not industry) that uses spam extensively.

      Of course, hiho's to all russian women, even if they would be called Andrea, but to all the spammers (today I got 10 spams in my box, and 2 real msgs) I say to thee fuck you, and may you be spammed by postcard delivery services every fucking minute of the day.

        It is kind of odd. I only get spams on my work email address (what are those admins doing all day? Shouldn't they be commbatting this shit?) and on my tiscalinet.be account. My jawtheshark.com addy gets none at all, and no, I do not run spamassasin or so.
        I have yet to get spam for russian brides. Well, I think so at least because I don't ever open my spam.
