Journal drinkypoo's Journal: The first rule of Slashdot... 4

...is don't tag with Slashdot. You may discuss slashdot in your journal, but you can't tag the journal entry as such, even though the tag clearly exists in the database, and even appears in the autocomplete list.

  • Am I the only one who is unable to tag a story anymore? I used to be able to click that triangle thing and type in a tag or two. Browser doesn't matter... it's universally broken or someone higher up didn't like my tagging and took away my ability to tag things.

      I think there's an actual Slashdot preference setting that hides tags.

      I honestly don't know any more, I have so many ad blockers, script blockers, greasemonkey scripts, firefox extensions, CSS modifiers, and other stuff filtering down every site I really couldn't tell you which particular one shut off the damn tags.

      • Yeah, I've been through every setting and didn't find anything relevant. Even on Chrome and IE where I have no extensions installed, no joy. Oh well... no big loss, just another Slashdot curiosity.
