There's a solution regarding voice, too. Just learn to speak like Tom Waits and use it every time you shop.

If they want to spy on me, sell my data to ad companies, and make money... I should get it for free. Even better - pay me to use it! I'm not buying anything anymore that collects and sells my data, whilst costing a lot. I'm fed up with their greed.
"The company also argues that over-ear headphones offer more privacy since audio responses aren't audible to bystanders." LOL this is the least of my worries when it comes to privacy. They want you to know they care about your privacy... from bystanders. LOL
I find this part very interesting: "fake news" and "hate speech", like straight from the G. Orwell's '84.
Fake news=everything they don't like.
Hate speech=everything they don't like.
Moral police... that's pure authoritarianism.
What doesn't get enough attention are sea currents. Aside from the atmosphere, they are the key to the climate, and not something we can really control. Changing sea currents in the Atlantic can cause much colder weather in the lower part of the Northern hemisphere, and also cause more extreme weather patterns. Everything is connected, everything influences everything, and the Earth is a closed ecosphere which we're all a part of. Since we have passed the point where things could be reversed, things will just get worse, faster and faster. It's also become obvious not many people care what happens, or rather - they do, but they still don't think it will. Pretty insane...
Great example! Orwell got censored! It's almost funny. Orwell's books which are about dystopian society, mass control and censorship, got censored. One would almost think it's Onion news, but it's real. And that in 2009! We absolutely have to pay attention to such nefarious attempts of censorship of art and history, and restricting freedom of expression in the name of... what exactly? Is it the "protect the children" again?
I was just looking at the USB flash drives... 128GB for $10. USB-A or USB-C or even combo drives. Easy to carry around on your keychain. So what is the use of this cloud service again? I don't get it. Don't say "it's convenient" because if something is convenient it's a 128GB drive on your keychain that you simply insert in your computer or phone.
I must be meeting wrong women then.
Only if your jeans are compatible enough with pig's.
Just to point something out. I don't think they are not smart for writing such misleading reports, they just need to put food on the table. What I mean is - the politics forces them to lie for money. It happens far more often than you think, especially in time of economical struggles and crisis. They could grow a pair, though, lose the (additional?) income (bribe?) and be truthful to themselves for once. Doing that certainly has its own merits.
Maybe they thought that "aligning our pipes" would make women in the workplace feel left out?
We might invent Faster Than Light Travel by the time this probe is half way there...
Absolutely, yes, and "Beyond" products are meant for omnivores or (former omnivores?) vegetarians who still like to have a plant-based burger. I have no desire for the taste of meat in any form, but especially so processed form. I make my own burgers sometimes, when the schedule is tight, from green lentils and mixed veg. Good, healthy stuff, actually.
As a vegetarian since high school (I'm 55), I don't eat processed food and I see "beyond" as "beyond processed" food. A lot of vegans and vegetarians I know eat healthy home-made food, and don't even consider eating these heavily processed options unless being forced to. That's why it's unsuccessful imho. Who is it for? Those who can't cook and don't mind eating processed food, which is less and less popular with omnivores, too. Nothing tastes as good as home made burger, vegan, vegetarian, or omnivoreian.
"The computer will be able to see what they see, hear what they hear... so shall we! and we're gonna make loads of money selling their data. Oh my!"
The future is bright. It always is with MS, because... I somehow doubt it it will be that bright for them, though, since less and less people like to use their OS as they keep shooting themselves in their feet.
I love my good old, boring Debian. Thanks MS.
I posted mine too late and didn't see your comment. Yeah, it's obvious, isn't it? lol
