There's nothing ironic about my signature. Government is the ultimate in organized crime: all of its basic operations (taxation, war, etc.) are considered both immoral and criminal when practiced by individuals. If you treat government as an organized crime syndicate, it makes perfect sense for the government to go after the Mafia, or the yakuza, or the triads, or the Russian mob.
