This entry is for testing Slashdotter.

Four weeks have passed, and this is only my second journal entry, but there is a good reason for this. I was waiting for something spectacular to happen (the flood of spam), but alas, it never did. In the end, I received zero spams as a result of my test. Thusly, I can make the induction that spam does not exist - case closed.

Around noon today I listed an e-mail address in plain view of any e-mail harvesters on a comment page of Slashdot (http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=55721&cid=5425563). I won't repeat that address here, lest a spammer find it here as well, but lets just say that it involved a certain spamtest at a certain opticdesign.com...

It's about three o'clock, and no spams yet. (Perhaps the harvesters are not surfing at +1). I remain optimistic, but I assume there is only a limited amount of time until spammers would stop searching that comment page. Time will tell.
