Joe Biden led an effort in congress to make education unaffordable by making it impossible to default on student loans. This led to pushing more student loans so that corporations could get more interest payments. He then ran on ever-decreasing amounts of forgiveness for all borrowers (starting at $150,000, a promise originally made on his campaign page) before watering this down to $50,000 and then $15,000, which was eventually granted to less than 50% of borrowers. That was a successful bipartisan attack on education and the middle class. Anyone who still thinks education loans are good when we used to have education grants instead and the boomers rugpulled that (even the late boomers didn't get it!) is obviously a product of a failed public education system.
