TechnoLust's Journal: John Edwards is a dirty 419 scammer...

I received this email today, and we all know everything you read in email is true.

Hello dear,

I am John Edwards,the first cousin to Mr Charles Taylor the ex-President of Liberia; who is currently on exile in Nigeria(the City of Calabar).I got your address from the international chambers of commerce and industry. In the month of February 2003 Mr Taylor diverted the sum of $7.5 million (american dollars) to me which I brought to Nigeria and deposited it with the bank, Then it was obvious that there will be trouble in our country.Our great concern now is to get a foreign partner to assist me to transfering this money to a forign account outside this country. This is neccesited by the risk involved in keeping this huge sum of money in Nigeria; just in case of any unwanted development.

I have promised to give 30% of the total sum to you for your assistance in helping to get this transferd while 5% will be for any expenses incured during the cause of this transfer; then 65% for us. However,this should be kept in secret and the confidentiality of this business should not be compromised.

on his work account. He used to print them off and bring them home for us to read. Some of them have to get points for originality.

Ever hear of the scammers that got scammed? Some dude got an alias and ended up getting money from the people and running off with it.

No... the phone and fax numbers were for the FBI office that handles these scammers. I emailed them and let them know I had given the scammer the info, but they never wrote me back, so I don't know if they did anything about it or not.
